Large oval coiled basket (bifurcated stitches), with elongated watch-spring construction and over-cast stitched rim. Fully imbricated in grass with geometric stepped zig-zag pattern in bark, bottom row continuous, top row in open spaces of lower pattern. Single solid row of bark near rim.

An egg-shaped woven basket with a tall handle wrapped around with another plant piece. The design consists of horizontal rows as the background behind equally spaced rows of two vertical lines which curve around at the top rim of the basket and curve down to create the circular trellis-like base.

Trinket BasketNbz819

Octagonal shaped coiled cedar root basket with an attached lid. Parallel slat base and lid with overcast rims on both the lid and the basket. Red cherry bark beading on every other slat on the lid. Vertically connected chevron shaped designs in cherry bark with canary grass in the centre divided down the centre by a cherry bark line. Two leather hinges on one side attach the lid to the basket with a leather tie on the opposite side.

A light brown round woven basket with a lid which fits over top and is attached with a looped piece of root or bark. The main design is made in dark brown with a diamond-shaped pattern connected with a horizontal line across the top and the bottom. Inside each diamond are six dark brown horizontal triangles, three of which point downward and three of which point upward toward the centre leaving a light brown diamond shape in the middle. Outside each diamond are six more dark horizontal triangles, three of which point upward toward the top horizontal line and three of which point downward toward the bottom horizontal line. The lid is decorated with a dark brown rim and the top of the lid is decorated with vertical dark brown lines.

Circular basket with rounded sides and watch-spring bottom, constructed of grass in bundle coiled technique. Decoration consists of a series of double-delineated diamond shapes, evenly spaced around the sides, made by beaded strips of brown plant fibre (all around the inner diamond line), possibly reptile(?) skin on the lower half of the outer diamond line, and an unidentified black material on the upper half of the outer diamond line. The fitted lid is slightly domed, with a knob, and is decorated with six cross designs, beaded in brown and black.
