Large round open, coiled basket (with bifurcated stitches). Handles on either side. Imbricated design of checkerboard diamonds in dark cherry bark and cat-tail grass (?), alternating with outlined diamonds in either red or dark cherry bark with same in center, with cat-tail grass (?). Beaded foot with natural colour cat-tail grass (?) indicates basket is from Spuzzum, according to family of basket maker(s) from that area.

Decorated with partial imbrication; four triangular shapes along rim in red and white, and black and white.
