Braided animal hobble (hank’ay). The natural fibre braided loop is created from 16 pieces of yarn in brown, beige, and black, possibly from coarse llama(?) and horsehair(?) with a spiraling diagonal stripe design. A red and beige bobble with a beige horsehair(?) tassel is attached to the ends of the braid..

Knitted cap (chullu) made of hand-spun sheep’s wool and camelid hair with small ear flaps, a scalloped border, and a long tail (chupan) on the top with pom-pom tassels. The main cap and ear flaps are decorated with bands of geometric shapes in alternating colours against a dark reddish-brown background. The bands feature off-white and hot pink ovals, yellow and pale grey circles, purple and orange motifs, pale grey and off-white round motifs, pink and light green rectangular shapes, pale grey and yellow zig-zags, red and purple motifs, and squares in light green and pale grey. The long tail, attached to the centre of the top of the cap is decorated with bands of wavey motifs in hot pink, pale grey, yellow, purple, light green, off-white, bright pink, pale grey, orange, light green, hot pink, yellow, and pale grey against the light brown background. A purple pompom and two smaller pompoms in light brown and light green are attached to the end of the tail. The scalloped border has segments of orange, pale grey, bright pink, off-white, and light brown.

Black crocheted cap (jokollo) with a small brim on the front, ear flaps, and a long triangular panel attached to the back in the neck area. The natural sheep and camelid fibre cap has off-white edging and synthetic embroidery decorating the front. The brim has a deep red border with a repeating pattern of small segments of yellow, white, vibrant pink and bright orange. A triangular geometric design is embroidered on the brim with the same wool as the edging. The main design embroidered on the centre on the front of the cap features a plant with multi-coloured leaves and a yellow flower between two colour-blocked circular motifs. The plant and circles are contained in a pink and yellow rectangular border decorated with thin ovals resembling leaves, arranged to form a partial rainbow ombre from the bottom corners around to the centre of the top. The ombre moves through shades of deep red, to orange, then yellow, ending with green on the right side and pink on the left side. The cap also includes an extended off-white and red tassel on the top.

Wasa watana (hair tie). Unfinished hair tie (part a) and sample (part b). The hair tie is braided, not woven, but the intersecting bands are inserted into the main band in the same way as woven examples. After insertion, each half of the added band is braided away from the main band. The smaller fragment illustrates an asymmetric insertion of threads for a single band that branches off the main band.

Coca leaf bag (chuspa) that has a single pocket woven into one face, a carrying strap made of two braids, woven tubular edgings (ribetes) covering seams and edges, short tassels along the lower edges, and bud-like tassels on braids along the lower edges. Main design panel has a condor, human, and quadruped, while flanking panels have X-shaped motifs.

Wasa watana (hair tie). A braided hair tie made in the combined techniques of oblique interlacing (dark threads) and oblique twining (mainly pink and orange). Each end of the hair tie has 3 tassels made of 3 bands. Most of the added bands intersect by passing through the threads of the main band, however 2 of the 6 tassels have folded bands that are sewn on.

A pair of non-identical wasa watana (hair ties) woven in complementary warp weave, and sewn together. Each has tassels formed by intersecting warps that are woven as separate bands, but each end of each hairtie has a different branching conformation. Both hair ties are edged with small beads, which were threaded on the weft yarn before weaving. Another complete hair tie with intersecting warps is folded and inserted between the non-identical hair ties and sewn in place. Alpaca and sheep’s wool.
