Front is heavily beaded with four horizontal rows of crisscrossing beads below four semicircles of beads and shells, metal applique in centre. Either side features two coins, beaded at centre, with rows of beads around circumference, and applique ribbon repeated above. Rows of beads run horizontally from one side to the other, over crown. Knot tied at back sideband with triangular piece of fabric extending underneath knot and past brim.

Shell disc beads cut from a variety of shells, polished, drilled and strung on pandanus leaf twine. The beads are strung across in two rows, alternating between larger pinkish beads, and then small loops of alternating white and black beads. The fibre comes together to create a plaited tie on each end.

Belt composed of tiny carved and polished coconut shell discs strung on four strands, with sections separated by alternating turtle shell and clam shell dividers. The strap is composed of plaited grass(?) with fringed ends. The two straps are tied together by grass(?).
