Textile3080/34

Textile panel made of several pieces of fabric sewn together. Front has backing of brown silk on one side, and brown cotton on the other connected by a layered appliqué panel at centre in stripes of orange, green, and blue. On the silk is sewn a green rectangle holding two orange squares, all with patterned embroidery. On the cotton backing is a large square embroidered like those on the silk, and surrounded by a boarder of layered applique lines in several colours. The square panels all hold some transparent sequence with small beads.

Collar flap from back of women’s jacket. Front has a top panel of dark brown synthetic fibre, under which is sewn a panel decorated in tan, blue, and green step patterning and includes tiny stitching. Around the panels is an edging of faded silk. Back of panel is made of synthetic fabric with pink and purple roses on a green background, with the silk edging showing the original bright pink colour. Flap has been removed from a larger garment and has black thread hanging loose along the top edge.

Hat is round with a cross-stitched embroidered brim. Stitches form a geometric pattern and are yellow, green, pink and blue. The upper half of the hat is decorated with thick blue stitching in a large floral pattern. Hat has four pompoms, two small on either side of forehead, one small above front centre and one large on crown. Interior is lined with a dark blue fabric.

Circular black velvet boy's hat. Two rows of parallel silver sequins on circumference of sideband connecting vertically at seam. Evenly spaced horizontal quilted lines inbetween, above, and below sequins. Crown comes to low point with vertical quilted lines. Interior lined in pink and white cotton with same quilted pattern as exterior.

Cotton and silk fibre hat with geometric embroidered brow. Brim extends on either side to cover wearer's ears. Cotton cord attaches to either side. Lining is grey cotton with multicolour floral print. Exterior crown and sides are light and dark grey-white damask silk. Cotton embroidery runs horizontally along seem at crown and sideband. Lining and exterior are quilted with grey-white thread.

Small silk skullcap doppilar with a pointed top. Hat has four sides, now folded flat on opposing sides. The bottom of the hat has a black brim and the exterior is a dark green colour. Each side is decorated with rounded linear figures in white embroidery, and the brim is lined with repeating half circle embroidered designs. The interior is lined with a red cotton fabric. A small dark green pompom is sewn onto one of the corners of the brim.

Four-sided dark green silk embroidered hat. The exterior has a damask floral design within the silk fibre. The bottom of the hat has a black brim, while the interior is lined with a red cotton fabric. Fine red, yellow and white embroidered stitches run vertically along the seams from the brim crossing at the crown, and also run horizontally along the brim.

The bottom of the hat has a black velvet brim and the exterior is a bright turquoise colour with subtle floral shapes interlaced in the fabric. The interior is lined with a red cotton fibre. The sides of the hat are decorated with a small black and white embroidered floral design, and the brim is lined with linear figures in a similar style.
