Cream silk panel with embroidery and brown damask silk frame. The panel has goldfish, lotus and butterfly motifs on cream ground. The back is lined with tan cotton.

Hat composed of a band of fabric with a point at the front bottom centre, a lobe along the bottom of each side, a strip of skin (?) at the vertical front seam, and a panel at the back with five points along the bottom. Hat is made of dark blue silk with a black border and an embroidered floral design with bird figures as well as water. Light blue silk lining with a woven floral pattern.

Headdress with embroidery. The headdress has an upper rectangular shape leading to a flared and curved base. Embroidered on the front is a pink peony motif agains a blue key-fret background on red ground. Around the edges is a black border with blue trim. The back is lined with blue silk.

Pair of red felt leggings; two roughly rectangular pieces with ties attached to the upper corners and a set of five buttons at the bottom to secure the top and bottom around the leg. Multicoloured, patterned appliqué border around the bottom and two sides. White beads sewn along the sides and bottom edges. White band of felt across the top. Protruding, pointed pieces of felt hang behind the row of bottoms at the bottom; yarn pompoms attached to the tips of the points.

Dark purple ornament made of braided silk fibre with a long looped end that connects to a tightly woven endless knot. In the centre is a circular metal design with a gold and white leaf pattern on a black background with a white border. The back of the knot has a black piece of plastic attached.

Narrow band with woven pattern and tassels. The pattern repeats pink geometric shapes within blocks on white ground with yellow and green. The ends have long tassels of green, white and pink.

Rectangular badge in two equal pieces (part a-b) with an embroidered bird, symbols and surrounding border. The bird is a mandarin duck, denoting a civil seventh rank official. The bird is multicoloured with a blue and white crest, tail and wings, green and yellow scale-like back and throat and red beak. It is in the centre, standing on one leg and facing left with head raised towards the red sun. Amidst a wave and cloud motif background there are symbols around the bird, including an endless knot, a narcissus and several bats. Around the edges of the badge is a gold meander border.

Pillowcase composed of dark blue cotton with an opening at the centre of the seam, which runs the length, and square ends with rounded corners and dark blue silk borders that frame a red centre embroidered with a butterfly design in whtie and black.

Flat, rectangular, decorative bag, made from two different types of textile. The front of the bag is made from very finely embroidered, multi-coloured textile with patterns that resemble an ikat weaving. The back of the bag is made from a cotton warp face ikat textile with large red and yellow patterning on an off-white background. All four edges of the front of the bag are finished with narrow multi-coloured tablet-woven braids. The sides and bottom edge of the bag are trimmed with dense, long (11 cm), multi-coloured, twisted fringe (red, dark yellow, purple, off-white, brown, green and blue). The opening of the bag is trimmed with four multi-coloured tassels. The front of the bag is lined with a loosely woven, printed, tan cotton textile.
