Bag3080/1

Embroidered rectangular bag with long handle. Bag is made of several long strips of cloth sewn together vertically; one side is heavily embroidered with black linear designs surrounded by red and gold decoration, and the other is a printed maze-like motif. Bag’s handle is a thin piece of grey-green cotton hemmed with black thread, sewn to the top corners of the bag. Interior is lined partway down one side with light denim.

Collar flap from back of women’s jacket. Front has a top panel of faded brown silk, under which is sewn a panel decorated in dark blue and tan diamond and x-shaped patterns, small triangles in light pink, and small squares in tan-grey. Around the panels is an edging of faded pink silk. Back panel is made of blue cotton with white dots, edged in silk showing its original dark pink/red colour. Flap has been removed from a larger garment and has black threads hanging loose along the top edge.

Robe3295/29

Long green velvet kaftan with long sleeves. Slits on both sides of the robe, and underneath either sleeve. Embroidered in yellow and olive green thread around neck, down centre opening, over shoulders, around sleeve cuffs, and along the hem of the robe. The robe has loop and button closures running down the centre. The interior edges are lined with an olive green silk(?). Small rectangular tag at neck.

Dress3295/13

Dress composed of two main fabrics - dark floral sleeves and a bright red and orange floral skirt. The chest and cuffs are heavily decorated with applique, embroidery, Government of Pakistan coins (some pounded), semi-translucent white buttons, metal decorations, and beading. Six red and white beaded tassels hang in front - two lower at centre, four longer tassels extending down from bottom row of coins. The hem of the skirt is a thick solid mauve, bordered by a thin band of green, and heavily embroidered in silver metal thread.

Long rectangular black textile embroidered with earth-tones. Embroidery consists of four main panels of geometric designs, separated by thin bands of varying repeating patterns and stripes, and finished with orange embroidery that extends out as vertical lines on each end. Either end is plain black, with thin black tassels.

Dress3295/9

Long silk red dress with long sleeves. Gold-coloured embroidery, bullion embroidery and sequins decorate the sleeve cuffs and neck. The designs flare out from the centre to the sides of the garment, leaving space for a large triangular flower and vase(?) design at the front of the skirt. The hem and neckline are trimmed with beige lace. The interior is lined with an off-white fabric. There is a small orange bow attached to the cuff of each sleeve and the chest.

Rug3295/21

Square-shaped rug with a cream-coloured background, light blue border, and light green square at centre. The entire rug has geometric shapes in various light colours, with a few exceptions in black, and there is one red hourglass shape within the green square. Two opposing edges are lined with tassels, which have been bound in either blue or pink, then tied together to create a triangle.
