Beadwork square with patchwork silk border. Beadwork background of opaque white beads, patterned with yellow, green, red and blue beads; 2 horizontal and 2 vertical lines form 9 equal squares. The centre square is patterned with 4 geometric tree forms and a small, long tailed animal. The remaining squares are patterned with animal forms, either horses, lions or elephants; the 5 upper squares each have 6 similar animals, the lower 2 squares have 4 similar animals and the left lower square has 6 dissimilar ones. Beadwork is bordered with a row of diamonds and a linear margin, framed by 3 borders of silk patchwork, 2 green with red diamonds, separated by one of orange and red chevrons. Chevron border and textile edge is bound in purple. There are hanging loops in each corner. The backside is lined with red cotton.

Small beadwork square with silk border; background of opaque white beads patterned in yellow, blue and red with a central stylized geometric form, and with a bird and 2 different animals on each side; wide border of green and black beads patterned with small geometric forms in yellow, white and red; edged with a narrow band of white, blue and red beads. The beadwork is bordered by 4 light red, silk rectangles which are stitched together. There is a woven pattern of fine red and green stripes and with a gold-coloured metallic floating weft (?). Red cotton (?) backing and red silk binding. Hanging loop on each corner; considerable fading and disintegration of woven border and binding; many metallic elements missing; one small hole in lower silk border; lower right hanging loop is dissimilar to the other three.

Painting consisting of a scene painted on silk depicting a gathering of artists along a river. From right to left: river starts near top and passes under a bridge, with a man and a boy carrying a lute. The river then runs across with trees on both banks and wine cups floating along. Groups of men and boys are on both sides of the river, painting on rocks; floating wine cups; writing on scrolls; making tea on a stove which is on a table. At left is a house on stilts with two men and a boy with brushes and a scroll. There are six very worn characters and two seals at left. There is a half round of wood and a cord at each end.

Rectangular, hand-woven shawl made of fine hand spun silk and cotton mixed yarn, decorated with cotton threads woven into the natural colour ground. Border design repeated at both ends, is an open band of alternating figures: stylized humans one above the other in mirror image; and an elaborated geometric motif. Narrow stripes at borders. A small triangular motif covers ground at widely spaced intervals. Detailing in red and black.

Pink damask Furisode (振袖) with printed pattern. The neck and centre opening are edged with a wide patterned band. The sleeves are short with long hanging panels and an opening under the arms. The pattern has sprays of morning glories, branches of white and pink cherry blossoms in white, red, pink and blue-gray. The damask is woven containing flying crane and checkered fan motifs. The kimono is constructed of nine rectangular panels; front panels tucked from neck to hem. The inside is unlined.

Wide end of long narrow rectangular sash is a plain weave of yellow silk on one side with two narrow silver stripes near end, and the other side has a supplementary weft of a background of silver squares; chrysanthemums with black and silver centres; and peonies with silver centres and veined green leaves. The wide end is sewn in half at 112 cm, and the pattern continues for 94 cm, then plain yellow weave for 126.3, then pattern on narrow end for 11 cm. White cotton interlining.

Silk rectangular sash with unfinished edges on narrow ends; weave creates repeating flower and leaf pattern on alternating horizontal red and black lines and tie-dye spots. Pin-wheel pattern at centre, graduated sizes in triangular form; each wheel consists of five black circles joined to small black circular centre by grey bands, five radiating grey spokes extend from centre beyond pin-wheel.
