Silk cloth has at centre twelve different rectangular floral prints: pine branch; cherry blossoms; bamboo and snow; water lily; pomegranate; maple leaves; iris; chrysanthemums; wisteria and bridge; Mount Fuji and plum blossoms; peony; blue nanten bush with red berries. Each design has a red calligraphy mark in a corner. Background is red-brown. Top and bottom hemmed.

Theatre CurtainEdz1220 a-d

Proscenium arch style curtain composed of 3 equal length panels (parts a-c). All panels are polychrome embroidered satin-finish silk backed with canvas. One panel (b) is hung horizontally with left and right vertical panels (a,c) hanging down each side. The horizontal panel has two dragons face-to-face over a ringed circle. The bottom edge is scalloped and decorated by multi-coloured tassels. The vertical panels are identical, but with the designs reversed. They have a dragon's tail and central 6 tiered pagoda. Other designs are all symbols in Chinese cosmos. The curtains are hung by numerous cloth straps (part d) which are looped through metal brads in the top of each curtain.

Rectangular green silk shawl with red and yellow geometric designs and green silk fringe at both ends. Warp is silk, weft is cotton and silk. Warp-faced plain weave overall with supplementary weft patterns created by continuous pattern wefts laid in with background wefts. Four alternating red and yellow stripes at each end. Patterns are in alternate blocks of similar dimensions. Yellow block has three rows of linear geometric design, the centre one is narrower than the two outer rows. Red block has two rows of elongated geometric designs.
