Rectangular shaped case with rounded edges and a flap that ties to the body with a piece of blue silk twine that loops onto a knot. The top of the case is heavy embroidered with silk, depicted on the flap and the body is a red and orange bat with its wings spread. The creature is surrounded by dark blue, blue and light blue clouds. Attached at the top of the bottom is a blue silk handle, rectangular in shape that flares out where it meets the case. The back has no decoration.

Hair Bag811/18

Long, flat, tapered, embroidered bag made of black cotton textile, embellished on one side with clusters of flowers, leaves and stems. The wide end of the bag is open and there is a 37 cm narrow loop of the same black cotton textile attached at either end of the opening. The closed, narrow end of the bag is embellished with bands of embroidery, sequins, glass beads and cotton fringe.

A densely embroidered, multi-coloured cuff, consisting of a wide band (12.5 cm) joined to form a cylindrical shape. Embroidered designs in the form of large X’s and asterisk-shapes, worked in red floss outlined in light gray-green on brown cotton textile, alternate in the central design field, and there are bands of red, orange and light gray-green embroidered geometric designs at the edges. There are two large pompoms, one orange and one red, sewn to the seam where the two ends of the band are joined.

Embroidered and beaded wallet-style purse, long and narrow in shape, with a triangular flap at one end. The outside is embellished with panels of predominantly red embroidery representing flowers, leaves and vines, worked on a green fibre broadcloth background and edged with couched silver metallic threads. The wallet is edged with multi-coloured glass beads. The inside of the wallet is divided into two compartments, each closed with a flap, plus one long inner compartment that extends the full length of the purse. The embroidery on the inside is the same style as on the outside. The flaps are edged with multi-coloured embroidery. The compartments are lined with machine-printed textiles.

Long rectangular hanging with appliqué, embroidery and tassels. On the front are embroidered figures with appliqué faces in a garden scene with pine, bat, peony, cloud, bamboo and butterfly motifs on red ground. Around three sides is a wide brown border with blue appliqué floral and butterfly motifs, edged with black bands. Along the bottom edge is green netting with multicoloured tassels. The back is unlined.

Small, flat, rectangular, embroidered bag, with beaded edges. Made by folding an embroidered piece in half and seaming two edges, leaving the fourth edge open. Three edges are trimmed with small multicoloured glass beads, while the opening is trimmed with small blue beads. The embroidery is worked in horizontal bands, separated by rows of silver braid and rickrack. The sides of the bag are virtually identical. The embroidery is backed with faded pink cotton textile.

Small, flat, pouch style, drawstring bag made from a red and yellow silk/cotton ikat textile, trimmed with beaded silk tassels, which are attached along the outside edges and beneath the drawstring casing. The seam along the outside edge of the pouch is trimmed with multi-coloured piping. Drawstrings are made of braided silk fibre (one is yellow and black, one is red and white), and the ends are trimmed with beaded silk tassels. The top edge is trimmed with a narrow strip to multi-coloured braid (tablet-woven?). Both sides of the bag are identical in construction; the textile on one side is predominantly red, with only a very small amount of yellow and off-white, while the other side has a bold yellow circle on a red background. The bag is lined with tan twill weave cotton textile. A short red and black braided cord is attached at the upper edge, serving as a handle.

Long rectangular shaped sheer silk ? textile consisting of a red and white designed horizontal stripe border intermixed with solid stripes of green and yellow. The centre has fine horizontal stripes of red and dark brown. One end has thick red and white vertical stripes followed by a brown and white stripe. The opposite end has three vertical white stripes.

Long rectangular, green sari with a sheer crepe weave, machine stitched on both ends with silver and green ribbon edging. Throughout the textile are silver coloured metal studs spaced closed together at one end then widely spaced over the rest of the length. One end and part of the side does not have the silver edging.
