Woman's palace robe (gongzhuang), ecru coloured with wide sleeves, centre front opening, short, standing collar with brass buttons and panel skirt. Butterfly, peony, chrysanthemum, lotus, narcissus and hsi motifs on the front and back in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple on an ecru background. Sleeve bands with a flower and symbol motif in red, orange, yellow, green and blue on ecru ground. There are mirrors on the sleeves. The inside lining is white linen on the upper portion and blue linen on the skirt panels.

A flat case that has an oval-like shape. Emboidered with poylchrome designs on both sides. One side has a design consisting of a long-stemmed plant with flowers and an insect above on a yellow background. The other side has a design consisting of a long-stemed plant with flowers and a butterfly above with three birds resting on the plant on a pink-grey background. Each side has a multi-coloured geometric border. At one end, there is a loop of multi-toned blue flat braided cord while the other end has two strips of the same.

Cantonese Opera VestN1.632

Long multicoloured vest with appliqué roundels. The vest has a centre opening with frog closures. The sides are open, held together by three turquoise bands. The collar border has peony and butterfly motifs in blue and green on a mauve ground. On the front and back is a diamond pattern in turquoise, blue and ecru. In the centre is a large roundel with a yin-yang symbol in silver and gold. The four surrounding roundels have with different variations of silver bars on a black ground. The border around the edges has a prunus motif in pink, purple and blue on an orange ground edged with pink. There are tin reflectors, green glass eyes and white fur. The inside lining is natural-coloured linen.

Pink cape with embroidery, wide collar and centre opening with cotton ties. The collar and border around the sides have orchid, mallow, daisy and chrysanthemum motifs with blue scalloped trim on pink ground. The back has large peacock and floral motifs on pink ground. The inside lining is pale green silk.

A pair of baby shoes. Each shoe is red, bordered along the top with black. The toe area is decorated with a face. The eyes are made of black fabric circles over white tear-drop shapes with a white bead for a pupil underneath a green sequin and outlined with silver-coloured thread (?). The eyebrows are white fluffy feathers which the cheek areas also have, but in light yellow. The nose is yellow outlined with gold-coloured thread (?). The ears are pinched yellow fabric decorated with two sequins, radiating brown thread lines, and outlined with gold-coloured thread (?) over brown fabric. There is a base for the shoe. The inside is made of pink fabric.

A tassel that has an intricate inter-woven dull green silk corded string design with one red horizontal inter-woven ring near the top, and one red and one black horizontal inter-woven ring below. There is an olive yellow silk tassel at the bottom. Long dull green silk corded string is looped at the top.
