On the sleeves are chrysanthemum, butterfly and prunus motifs. On the back are bird, fu dog, peony and prunus motifs. There is gold braid around the edges. There are green glass eyes, tin reflectors and white fur on the front and back. The inside lining is natural-coloured linen.

Purple jacket with appliqué circles on the centre front and back. The jacket has a rounded neck, wide sleeves and a centre opening with brass frog closures. There are slits in the sides and back. The circles have four toed dragon motifs in silver, pink and purple on a turquoise ground. There are mirrors, tin reflectors, green glass eyes and white fur within the circles. There is black and gold trim around the edges of the sleeves and bottom hem. The inside lining is yellow linen.

Yellow jacket (part a) with embroidery, slender cuffed sleeves and side opening with frog closures and metal snap fasteners. The collar, side opening, sleeves and hem have a green lotus motif and black meander border. The collar is stiffened with paper and finished with a green ribbon. The inside lining is ecru cotton.

A large rectangular textile with four tapestry panels in a wooden frame painted gold. Each of the four panels has two birds, a tree, flowering shrubs and rocks. But each panel has a different kind of bird and tree. The colours used are a soft green, blue, brown, white, pink, yellow and black. The panels are mounted on a green and gold floral brocade, which serves as the border and dividers around the four tapestry panels.

The short standing collar has gold braid around the edges. The side opening border has embroidered peony, coin and endless knot motifs on a blue ground, edged with gold braid and pink floral trim. Light pink cape (part a) with a large collar and centre opening with frog closures and embroidered ties. The collar has peony and butterfly motifs in silver on blue ground with turquoise and orange trim. The front and back have peacock, chrysanthemum and prunus on light pink ground. The border around the edges has bamboo and chrysanthemum motifs on blue ground with turquoise trim. There are tin reflectors, green glass eyes and white fur on the front and back. The inside lining is white cotton with a blue circular pattern.

The short standing collar has gold braid and purple trim. The side opening border has embroidered floral, coin and endless knot motifs on a blue ground, edged with gold braid and pink floral trim. The inside lining is natural-coloured linen.

A fabric case that has a long rectangular shape with a three-lobed top on both sides. Both sides have a design consisting of two red bats on a predominantly black and white geometric-patterned background with a black and gold geometric-patterned border. The handle is made of red cord with a porcelain bead on either side. Both beads have a design consisting of red and orange flowers with green leaves.

Rectangular wooden box with dovetail joints, a hinged lid and a lock. Lid features a carved landscape scene with polychrome ivory figures--all are elaborately carved, painted, and gilded. Inside, the underside of lid is covered with padded silk and the bottom is covered with grey velvet; the silk padding is marked "Arthur and Bond Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Yokohama." There may have been a tray inside at one time.
