Hat3357/3

Hat with a pointed gathered fabric top. The front of the hat is heavily embroidered with burgundy and black checkerboard design, and the back is plain burgundy fabric. The interior is lined with a light off-white fabric. On each side, a long burgundy fabric flap hangs, both heavily cross stitched in bright geometric designs, with a length of dark green and dark red cord with a flat cross-section. The left cord has a short fringe, and the right cord has a long fringe. The burgundy flaps are lined with a green fabric with oval cutouts at ear level. Attached to the hat is a black cord with a flat cross-section that is stitched to a metal loop on either side of the rim of the face, leaving a length of cord dangling on each side.

Boots3305/2 a-b

Pair of men’s calf length boots with slits along upper back. Calf portion of boots made of maroon silk with vine-like designs and characters embroidered throughout. Back slits and top edges of boots trimmed with dark blue, black and yellow plaid fabric. Red silk band around ankles with flowers and feathers embroidered in black and gold. Red silk extends upwards along front and back seams. These sections have characters and flowers embroidered in gold and light blue. Front red silk seam has gold and blue stripes down centre. Back red silk seam has orange stripe down centre. All red silk sections trimmed with yellow and blue stripes. Foot portion of boots covered with white material and have dark brown leather(?) appliques around heels and toes. Dark green and white fabric layers between boot and black leather(?) soles. Boot interiors have dark red-purple lining.

Rectangular cover in a light brownish-pink silk, embroidered with heart, vine-like and triangular designs. Three concentric rectangles with circle at centre in brass metal thread. Small mirror decorations. Edged with fringe in alternating sections of green, orange, red, dark blue or purple with beaded ends. Each corner has a roundel with flower design of cowrie shells with metal centre, and tassels extending out in silk and metal threads.

Long-sleeved dress with v-neck. Majority of dress is a green silk, with two blue rectangular patches on front. Hem, cuffs and front heavily embroidered in mainly orange, pink and red with many other colours. Large pentagon-shaped pocket on front with one opening on the right. Small mirror decorations on chest, hem and centre of front. Bright green silk patches on back of shoulders. Large pink section on lower back.

Two small matching square textiles. Front is dark purple-blue silk(?), which is embroidered in orange and red with a square cross and flower design with sequins in the centre of some. There are three concentric squares with the outline of the cross embroidered in gold metal fibres. Edged with light blue beadwork. Backed with a reddish-brown cotton.

Small rectangular purse, or pouch, with a thin twisted dark red and black silk thread strap. The bag is sewn together on three sides, leaving an opening at the top. Long fringe of alternating sections of red and black line the edge of the bag. The front and back are both heavily embroidered with horizontal rows of geometric designs and stripes in beige, red-brown, black and golden yellow.

Composed of a square piece of fabric, with three corners folded in on itself, and then sewn together creating an envelope-shaped case. Four black, burgundy and orange roundels with circular metal buttons on two. Heavily decorated with small circular mirrors on both sides. Front has five large orange star designs and organic designs. Heavily embroidered in multicoloured geometric and organic designs. Burgundy tie extending up from point.

V-shaped, multicoloured, embroidered, decorative band with a long dark green twisted fringe along the bottom edge.
