Long sleeved, light brown coat (part a), open at the front with belt (part b) for closure. There is red-brown embroidery on either side of the opening, the lapels, pockets, sleeves, and on the back and at the bottom of the jacket. Throughout the embroidered design there are blue, green and orange circles. The design of the embroidery is a repeating floral and hatch work pattern. The design found on the back side of the coat is the same pattern as that found in the centre, top of the jacket. The pattern on the sleeves and lower front lapels is reminiscent of Kashmiri style of “mango pip” paisley shapes. The belt is also light brown with red-brown embroidery in a repeating diamond pattern. In the centre of each diamond are alternating green, orange and blue circles. One end of the belt tapers to a point while the other end is squared off.
Thick, short jacket that goes on over the head (no front opening). It has pink silk(?) on the arms and chest, with a bottom panel of flowers and foliage on a white background. Around the neck is a large, elaborate collar made of multi-coloured beads that sits on the chest and shoulders. Similar beading is attached to each sleeve at the wrist. Inside each cuff and around the neck is an encircling piece of thick paper to keep the area stiff. The neck and cuffs of the garment are made of black fur. The interior of the coat is lined with white and blue cotton, over a thick padding of red felt.
Round black fabric collar with multicolour applique and a soft brown fur edging. Along the inside of the fur border is a band of light mauve-blue decorated with evenly spaced small green beads, and thin bands of red and white. Multi-coloured, curving, geometric designs have been embroidered in a circle on the black fabric, around the central opening which is trimmed with green. Hanging at the front centre is a red, semicircular flap, with a light yellow trim. The triangular neck closure is secured with a pair of small, marble-patterned, green buttons.
Salmon skin robe with applique embroidery. LIght tan-coloured skin with black fabric edging around the neck and down the side closure. The edging is decorated with a green band and thin red trim. The neck and sides are fastened with small, green plastic, buttons. The yellow band at the hem is decorated with numerous small, flat, bronze or brass metal decorations sewn on. Multi-coloured, geometric appliques on white fabric have been sewn across the entire back and down both sides. The black cowl and shoulders of the coat have silk embroidery in curving patterns. The skin cuffs are painted blue. The inside is lined with flannel and floral patterned fabrics.
Dark blue striped sarong with river snake design. Horizontal green lines flanked by yellow and orange lines dividing sections of diamond or zigzag pattern in pink, orange, light blue and white. One side is bordered by a zigzag pattern in pink and white with lines in orange and blue.
Dark purple warp and green weft silk (producing an overall dark blue effect with a green sheen) with gold and reddish-brown patterns. Abstract geometric pattern of rectangles with diamonds inside in gold and reddish-brown, shapes attached to one another by bands of reddish-brown and gold zigzags. Bordered on one side by a repeated pattern or small reddish-brown and gold diamonds.
