Gift in memory of Isaac M. Bates by his children and grandchildren.
Slightly oval bronze cap, or finial, with inlaid silver design. The open end is oval shaped; the closed end is rounded at the edges and smooth. There is a raised band about one third of the way up from the open end. Almost the entire outer surface, starting 0.4 cm from the edge, is decorated with feathery scrolls and griffins surrounded by scrollwork. The bronze is covered in a dark green patination, except for a few spots that are dark brown. Just above the raised band is a pierced hole, and spaced above the hole are two round dents.

Long shawl pin with rounded body, flat oval head at top and acute point in the opposite side. Made of silver and used to pin different garments together or to help in the funerary preparations. Hammered technique. Slightly broken.
Large spoon shaped pin with coins soldered to sides of handle; part b is a set of 3 coins from one side that have detached. Prominent spoon-shaped finial engraved with a bird over a flower and foliage motif. The date range of the ten cents coins appears to be 1930 to 1950. All of them have an engraved mountain, sun and llama on reverse; some obverse sides have a hand holding a sickle and others two snakes in a stick surrounded my foliage motif.
