Textile on the loom is woven in a chevron and flower design in red, blue, green, yellow, orange, black, white and purple on a burgundy background. Rope is burgundy, green, purple and white. Loom and pick are carved and sanded. Pick is also painted. Many wooden pieces are attached in the weave.

Lengths of rawhide are tied at each end of the band of cocoons, and are used to secure the rattle to the dancer's leg.
