LeggingsD2.15 a-b

Pair of white hide leggings (part a-b) with beadwork. The front has a long rectangular panel of beadwork with triangular and ‘x’ motifs in red, blue, green and black on white ground. There is a long tie at the top. The back has a small lower panel of beadwork with a ladder design in red, blue and clear on hide ground. Also on the back are pairs of fringe, in a line. One side is folded, the other is scalloped. The bottom edge has a thick cut fringe.

Short-sleeved buckskin dress with multicoloured beading and fringes along the hem, sides and sleeves. Predominately red, white, black, dark and light blue beading; beading at neck and hem of dress. Area around shoulders stained red.

Rectangular flared coiled basket (bifurcated stitches). Parallel splint base construction. Upper half of basket is fully imbricated in grass with geometric mirrow image 'c' shapes, double outlined in dark cherry bark. Lower portion of basket is beaded in vertical rows of parallel bands alternating in grass and dark cherry bark ("cluster of flies" pattern). Skin loops on one side in each corner, two remaining knots on opposite side and short side.

Flat wood board with a larger rounded end and a tapered flatter end. Board is covered with very soft doe(?) skin with beadwork. Beadwork consists of three sets of horizontally connected pink, turquoise, and blue sideways tear-drop-shapes across a vertical stem on a white background. The sides have a curved pattern of pink and white triangles outlined with blue. The edges are rimmed with a red wool border.

Quill and beadwork on a long hide bag. One beadwork panel on each side of the bag with two stripes each containing pink, red, green, and gold-coloured beads between the two panels. The beadwork panel on one side has a red-, pink-, and green- outlined hour glass shape on a white background that has eight pink triangles within, the upper four of which are bordered by black, gold, and red while the lower four of which are bordered by black and green. The other beadwork panel on the other side has three vertical bands of three pink triangles on a white background. The central line of triangles are bordered by gold, green, and black. The side triangles are cut in half vertically and are bordered by black and green. Above the panels, there are two horizontal lines of orange and purple, and mint green and red quillwork. Both side flaps of the bag have two rounded projections creating a v-shape with white beaded edging. Below, there is a long skin fringe tied around the tops with dark blue, mint green, and red quills.

A skin sheath with metal cones around the sides. One side has a beadwork pattern of an eight-petaled purple-pink and red flower with a purple and dark red bulb and light green and dark green leaves. Two light blue wing-like-shapes outlined in dark blue emanate from the top of the flower. Above, there is a green x-like-shape outlined with dark blue, from which two smaller light blue wing-like-shaes outlined in dark red emanate at the top.
