Toy dog with moving mouth and tail. Square carved dog with black leather ears and tail, black painted spots, eyes, nose, white teeth and red tongue stands on a mount beneath which are a series of wheels. When a handle on one side is turned, the wheels rotate, causing the mouth to move up and down and the tail to swivel.

Retablo Altar2738/196

Brightly painted portable "retablo" box altar. Two doors open outwards from the centre on leather hinges to show a Nativity scene with Jesus as a toddler. Framed behind gilded pillars are small painted plaster figures and animals which are staggered in rows rising in height towards the larger figures of Joseph and Mary. The exterior of the box and the interior of the doors are painted with floral motifs in red, green, blue, purple, yellow, and black on a white background.

Brightly painted portable "retablo" box altar with door opening on leather hinges to the left to show a Nativity scene. Small painted plaster animals are staggered in rows rising in height towards the pink and yellow back wall where a peasant kneels before the baby in the cradle and a gilded Joseph and Mary. The exterior of the box has flowers, dots, wavy lines, and a sun painted in red, green, blue, yellow, black and brown against a white background.

Retablo altar2738/198 a-c

Retablo altar to the Virgin de la Candelaria Copacabana. Altar consists of a rectangular wooden box (a) painted white and red, the front of which has an arched top facade with painted crown and two door panels, that open outwards, painted with a scene of a church (b) and scene of a three crosses (c). Small painted female figure holding a baby stands inside the painted interior, on a blue pedestal, surrounded by a variety of paper flowers, sparkling silver urns, a plastic orb, and cards of religious characters.
