Elongated, belt-like hide object with floral beading. Two layers of soft hide sewn together with white fabric in between. The edge was once bound with black silk and red silk braid; remnants remain. Floral design in red, blue, white, and green with a black stem.

Sword (part a) has straight two-edged blade and elaborate full-cage hand protecting the hilt with a cross incorporated into the design. Shiny metal twine bound around the leather grip. Scabbard (part b) made of wood covered with leather. Brass decorative casing near the opening with repousse worked floral design and two moss agates inset. Woven red and yellow belt attached with rings.

Mask with mirrored eyes in sunken sockets, pursed lips, a hooked nose, prominent brows, oval-shaped indents on the sides of the forehead, and a piece of skin with hair attached at the back of the head. The mask is painted black with white ovals inside the indents at the sides of the forehead, white lines around the eyebrows and between the eyebrows, white around the eyes, red nostrils and lips.

Carved wooden, crooked beak headdress, or mask. The beak has large red, triangular shaped nostrils outlined with a black and white s-form. Running from the brow is a small central black frill that protrudes outward and curves inward to the centre tip of the beak and back into itself; decorated with white semi-circles. The mouth is red, flat and protruding. The bottom parts of the beaks are hinged with rectangular pieces of leather. The face is black with white detailing. The eyes are black and large, outlined in white and red on a white ovoid shaped ground; brow is black. The underside of the beak is black. The inside of the mask is hollow with the exception of a piece of fibre twine that helped articulate the beak. Attached to the top edge is a twist rope of red and white fabric. The top has many bundles of small stripes of cedar bark. Hanging from the back and bottom edges are long strips of cedar that would cover the wearer. The mask is painted black, white and red with Northwest Coast stylized forms.

Wooden, carved, raven mask with a long beak with round, cutout nostrils. The beak is hinged with pieces of skin on either side, nailed to the lower mouth. The beak and nostrils are painted black with white and red edging; orange split "u" design extends from the nostril to back of mouth. The eye is outlined in black and red on a white background; eyebrow is black. The head of the bird is flat with cedar bark fringe on top and along the sides. The inside of the mask is hollow.

Cantonese Opera VestEdz1819

Long multicoloured vest with appliqué roundels. The vest has a centre opening with frog closures. The sides are open, held together by three turquoise bands. The collar border has peony and butterfly motifs in blue and green on a mauve ground. On the front and back is a diamond pattern in turquoise, blue and ecru. In the centre is a large roundel with a yin-yang symbol in silver and gold. The four surrounding roundels have with different variations of silver bars on a black ground. The border around the edges has a prunus motif in pink, purple and blue on an orange ground edged with pink. There are tin reflectors, green glass eyes and white fur on the front and back. The inside lining is natural-coloured linen.
