Long metal dagger with a circular metal guard and a wooden handle covered with trailing blue-grey fabric. Wooden scabbard (part b) is covered with dark black-brown skin and has a brass-coloured metal piece running down the centre.

Trumpet HornEe4.46

Ritual trumpet known as kangling (རྐང་གླིང་།). One end is a large darkened thigh bone, dark brown with two holes bored through one end. The other end is capped with a metal cap with a small hole in its centre. Half of the thigh bone towards the metal-capped end is wound in gold-coloured metal wire; running from this wire towards the other end are four decorative bands of metal with raised designs that, excepting the central band, are each set with three red and blue stones or minerals.

Skull DrumEe4.45

Double-sided drum made of two human skulls known as thod-rnga (ཐོད་རྔ) and also known as damaru (ཌ་མ་རུ་), but the latter also refers to double-side drums made of different materials. The skulls are placed top to top with each opening covered with skin. A decorative metal band with raised patterning and red and green-coloured round stone-like objects mounted on it covers the joint in the centre. Attached to the metal band is a length of twined string with an egg-shaped, pitch-covered weight at the other end.

Light tan reindeer fur woman's boots made with pointed, upturned toes. Trimmed with red and yellow wool felt. Four sets of brass eyelets laced at the ankle with twisted red and yellow fibre cord. Laces trimmed on the ends with red and yellow wool pompoms. Flat soles sewn on. Lined with red wool fabric.

Rawhide and tanned hide saddle with blue and red trim and pink lining under flaps. Floral beadwork pattern at each of the four corners in two sets. The first corner set consists of two light green leaves at the bottom, a pink heart-shape, a black stem with two red petals, two dark green leaves in the middle with a light green centre, two green leaves with a black centre, a pink heart-shape, a three-petaled light blue flower with dark blue centre and two black filaments on either side, and two three-heart-shaped-petaled flowers of orange shades with yellow and blue centres at either sides. The second corner set consists of a dark green leaf with an orange centre, a pink bud outlined with green, and two four-petaled flowers of red and orange with a yellow centre outlined with black at either sides, with an orange, yellow, and blue bud below each. Corresponding respectively are two more sets of floral patterned beadwork panels underneath each corner. The first panel set consists of a pink and red flower with an orange centre that has two curly light blue lines at the top corners, two dark blue petals outlined with blue below the left side of the flower, a black stem, and two green leaves with orange centres at either sides. The second panel set consists of three four-heart-shaped-petaled red flowers outlined with pink and having yellow centres, a red and orange flower, two red buds outlined with pink, and two green buds, all joined by a black stem. Each panel has a fabric strip at each side with a large black beaded and two blue and red wool tassels. Each fabric strip has a dark blue centre vertical line outlined with light blue and decoraged with yellow beads.

Hide is stretched over wooden frame. Cradle is laced in front and decorated with beadwork (floral design) in brown, green, blue, mauve, yellow, white, black. Each side of cradle has a mirror-image beadwork pattern starting at the bottom with a white leaf outlined with brown, a dark blue leaf outlined with pink, an aqua-blue leaf outlined with orange, and a four-heart-shaped-petaled flower of white outlined with brown on a green stem. Hood of cradle has a beaded central white, pink, green, and dark blue flower with a white, blue, and orange leaf on either side. Top of cradle has a beaded white flower outlined with orange and having three green filaments surrounded by a curving pink and dark blue line with yellow leaves outlined by green on either side. Top rim of cradle coiled with white and black beads. Facial features of doll inked on. Adorned with beaded strings, metal bells, and beaded necklaces.

Harpoon Head1155/2 a

Harpoon head carved out of antler, with animal heads (possibly lightning serpents) on the two angled and flared ends opposite the point. It is bound together with braided skin to a long curved piece, with string coiled around the middle, and coiled around near the looped end.

A large wood figure with wings outstretched. The circular eyes are drilled into a deep hollow hole. Upraised eyebrows with three white circles in a row. Two horn-like pieces carved into a curve around the sides of the face. Flowing hair down the sides and for the beard as well. Hairy moustache. Four white teeth and a wood tongue. Top of head decorated with shells. Rope belt has shells on it. Carved wood skirt with vertical grooved lines of white. Short wood feet with shell and plant fibre anklets.
