Headrest905/1

Rectangular-shaped piece of wood that curves up slightly at each end. Ends are rounded. Base is made from one piece of wood. Has a horizontally placed beam that extends the length of the rectangular-shaped piece of wood. Stemming from it are two pieces of wood that curve outwards. The pieces are connected in the centre by a round wooden piece. Attached to the upper portion of the legs, is a skin ring. The ring has a piece of metal wire wrapped around it.

Shadow Puppet1374/23

Two-dimensional figure of a man with articulated shoulders and elbows. The man's skin is painted gold; hair is painted black and has arc-shaped cutouts to resemble curly hair. He is wearing regalia at his waist, hands, ears, neck, and side of head; skirt is in greens, orange, pink, white, blues, yellow, and reds with cutouts for texture; rings are red; earrings are blue and white; necklace is in black ink; headdress goes from temples down neck and is in same colours as the skirt. The arms are controlled by long, horn rods that are attached at one end to the wrists; another horn rod is split down it centre for most of its length and has height of puppet set into it.

Shadow Puppet1374/2

A flat tall gold metal puppet with the ornate dress painted white, red, green, blue, purple, black, gold. Her black hair has curls, and she has a headdress to match her dress. The shoulders and elbows are rotatable and a marionnette stick is attached through the palm of each hand.

Mask1373/38

Oval-shaped mask with a slightly wider head. Head of mask is decorated with carved grooves and geometric designs. Forehead has six slightly raised bumps in the centre and a raised U-shaped design lower down on the forehead. Ears are located just above the eyes to the side of the mask. Eyes are crescent-shaped cut-outs, nose is raised and slightly rounded at the tip, and has two holes for nostrils. The mouth is rectangular-shaped with rounded edges. On either side of the mask on the cheek and chin there are a series of three raised lines. Around the perimeter of the piece from the chin to the ears are punctured holes with fibre threaded through them. The rim on the back of the mask is lined with skin backing.

Skull Drum2664/3 a-b

Double-sided drum made of two human skulls known as thod-rnga (ཐོད་རྔ) and also known as damaru (ཌ་མ་རུ་), but the latter also refers to double-side drums made of different materials. The skulls are placed top to top with each opening covered with sheet or goat skin. Join is wrapped with blue cotton cloth and dark red wool, with cords of braided hide ending in knobs attached to each side. Hide strips partially covered in brown corduroy project from one side, ending in tassels in poor condition. Part b is a detached cord with metal-wrapped tassels.

Rectangular red lacquered box with brown metal hinges, side handles, key, and a large lock on the front. Box is painted with a floral border on the ends, two seated golden men on the front, and detailed image of three men playing a go-like game under a cherry blossom tree on the lid.

Drum841/35

A short double-sided dark brown wood cylindrical drum known as damaru (ཌ་མ་རུ་) with a fibre band covered in fabric wrapped around the middle part which is painted red. Attached to the band are two rope cords, one of which has a ball at the end. There is a white loop through the band and a cowrie shell. Orange twirled fibre string is looped around the band. The drum is decorated on the sides with white and red circles.

Stringed Musical Instrument734/7 a-b

An instrument formed of a hollow cylindrical wooden drum covered with skin, with a stick running through it, the far end of which has red-brown and light brown hair attached. A small stick which tapers down and has fibre wrapped around near the tapered end goes through the hair end of the sick. The string is broken.

Mask1176/7

A large light beige mask with lots of long brown hair and dark brown hair on its upraised black eyebrows. White yarn is on the inner section of the sides of the hair. The big eyes outlined with red are cut out and so are the nostrils which have black-painted hair which is also done around the mouth. The lower jaw is attached at the back. The lips are red, gold, and black. The gums are orange. The teeth are white with four large fangs accented with bleack lines. Black protrusions on the sides of the mask have horizontal curved white lines. Gold pointed protrusions are next to the eyes and white yarn. The large ears have holes in the lobes. The lower right fang is missing.
