Bone harpoon that articulates with bone capped long wooden shaft. Skin ties lash the harpoon to the shaft. Small wooden hook on one side of wood shaft. Resin(?) spots on harpoon, near articulated joint, covers metal screws.

Dark brown skin kayak over wood frame. Prow has different coloured skin. Wood framed and screwed rim over cockpit. Skin on inside of cockpit is tied to sides of wooden frame with sinew. Skin straps across the deck in front and behind cockpit are screwed on. Short angled piece of antler(?) tied with skin at one side of wooden cockpit frame.

Drum composed of a carved wooden base, incised with lines in v-shapes around base and border of zigzag lines around top, and with a dark brown finish. The top of the drum is covered in stretched reptile skin. The rim of the drum base is smaller than the top circumference, and the base tapers inwards from the bottom rim, and then back out wider to the top of the drum.

Wearing clothing that is decorated in red, green, and black dragons, and floral print. Wire is coiled around the neck. There is an elaborate red and green headdress (part c) that has a face in profile at the front. Joined in the shoulder, elbow, waist, hips, hands, and fingers with rivets.

Wearing clothing that is decorated in red and green in a floral print with stripes. Wearing black boots. Wire is coiled around the neck. There is an elaborate red, green, and black headdress (part c) that has a crescent shape. Joined in the shoulder, elbow, waist, hips, hands, and fingers with rivets.

Shadow puppet of laodan or upper-class elderly woman character (parts a-b) with white hair. Wearing clothing that is decorated in red and green floral print. She is wearing shoes for bound feet. Wire is coiled around the neck. Joined in the shoulder, elbow, waist, hips, hands, and fingers with rivets. Head is part b, body is part a.

A wood ladle with the top handle curved and angled into a flat circular end dipping up into a protrusion.

Pair of mittens made of ermine skins. The mittens are very roomy with a long cuff. Both are decorated with seven black ermine tails around the cuff and one on the back of the hand. The inside is lined with white cloth.

Miniature dog sled with four sled dogs, all carved from white walrus tusk. Sled is packed with a grey-white piece of fur lashed down with black string, upon which the parka clad driver sits. The four sled dogs are harnessed with sinew, but the sinew line connecting them to the sled is broken.

Maroon velvet surcoat heavily ornamented with gold. The woman’s coat has a fitted bodice and full, calf-length skirt. The bodice and skirt are almost entirely covered with scrollwork embroidery, worked with metallic gold cord and metallic gold thread, except for a plain panel on each side of the bodice front and at the centre of the bodice back. The bodice is sleeveless in the front; there are long, flat panels that suggest sleeves, attached at the shoulders and back arms; these are worn crossed and fastened with hook and eye at the centre back below the waist. The edges of the bodice meet at centre front; although there are eight decorative buttons on each side of the centre front opening of the bodice, there is no provision for fastening. Buttons are made of metallic gold thread wrapped around a wooden core, trimmed with small coral beads. Smaller buttons at the bottom edge of "sleeves." There are pockets on each side of the skirt, just below the waist. All edges are bound with patterned silver ribbon and five rows of heavy gold cord. The garment, which is very stiff and heavy, is entirely interlined with animal skin, which supports the weight of the metallic embroidery. Bodice and skirt are lined with orange cotton damask; sleeves are lined with striped black, white and yellow cotton broadcloth.
