Beaded case with two lobes at the opening and a shaft that tapers towards a pointed tip. The case is decorated in a floral pattern on one face, and the inner surfaces are lined with off-white cotton and blue cotton, with a white floral pattern.

Hat composed of a band of fabric with a point at the front bottom centre, a lobe along the bottom of each side, a strip of skin (?) at the vertical front seam, and a panel at the back with five points along the bottom. Hat is made of dark blue silk with a black border and an embroidered floral design with bird figures as well as water. Light blue silk lining with a woven floral pattern.

Inner Boots565/1 a-b

Pair of inner stockings of caribou skin with the fur on the inside. The stockings reach to the knee and are higher in the front than in the back. The stockings consist of a piece of skin forming the sole, a vamp section and a large piece of skin that forms the leg section with a seam in the back of the leg.

Mittens527/30 a-b

Pair of brown moosehide mittens attached to each other via a braided green, red, white and grey woolen cord with tassels. Dark brown beaver fur trim around tops. Light brown band of fur in middle of mittens. Area between the bands of fur on the top sides of the mittens are covered with black, blue, red, orange and grey fabric and beaded with multicoloured hearts and stars. Cut hide fringe down one side of each mitten. Hudson's Bay blanket used for lining.

Pair of hide mittens attached to each other with a long braided cord; cord is green, maroon, navy, and red-orange and has several pompom-like tassels along it. Mittens are trimmed with beaver fur around the top and have a band of white rabbit fur around the centre.

Open-top HoodEd1.292

Open-top hood made of black silk damask with long ear flaps to which are attached long ribbons of the same fabric. The damask is patterned with peony flowers. The hood is constructed of two halves sewn together at the centre of the forehead and centre back, but with an opening at the top edged with black piping ending with a short slit at the back. The hood is cut straight across the forehead with a convex curved edge along each side edged with black piping on each side. The long ear flaps project forward from the points where the forehead joins the sides. The hood is edged entirely with two layers of skin with black fur, one facing inside and the other facing outside. A flat purple silk cord crosses the opening from front to back, ending at the back in an elaborate knot made of dark pink cord, partially detached and crumpled, below which are five dark pink tassels wrapped in gold thread. At the front there an elaborate double knot of gold and pink cord, below which are seven dark pink tassels wrapped in gold thread. The hood is lined with bright blue rayon fabric, most of which is covered with white fibrous paper which is attached with long running stitches.
