Item Search

The item search helps you look through the thousands of items on the RRN and find exactly what you’re after. We’ve split the search into two parts, Results, and Search Filters. You’re in the results section right now. You can still perform “Quick searches” from the menu bar, but if you’re new to the RRN, click the Search tab above and use the exploratory search.

Pipe2934/1

A small argillite pipe carved into the shape of a whale. The head is large with a long, closed mouth, rounded snout, and large eyes. Atop the head is the round pipe bowl. Arms extend from the back of the head, bending around the decorated, square torso. Hands grip the base of the tail, which curves up the rear of the pipe to the top, where another set of hands grip the fluke which sits just behind the tobacco chamber. A small hole is bored into the tail at the back, where another part was likely inserted at one time. There are some veins of white visible in the argillite.

Point2912/14

Stone projectile point, triangular in shape. The base is wide with rounded corners. Straight sides taper toward a narrow point. In profile, the object is slightly convex on both top and bottom. Dorsal and ventral sides each have two ridges running from the bottom corners to meet at the top. Many diagonal scratches can be seen on both surfaces. The point of the object is somewhat blunt, but the sides and particularly the bottom have been slightly flaked to sharpen.
