Artifact was only labeled "Site 11" by Bergen, and no mention of artifact appears in Bergen's notes. Burke staff assigned "11-688," as Bergen's original catalog ended with "11-687." Oblong, stone maul; polished on handle surface and one side of end opposite handle. This object was originally cataloged as a maul. The object name has been changed to pile driver. A. Deep, 6/09/09

Object is a medium-sized mortar witha very flat bottom and a chip out of rim. "Bergen Notes: Stone mortar 7" wide, 4" deep, found on bedrock about 4-5 feet below surface."
