Stone carving of a seated bird with round body and long flared tail; wings are back and cross at tips. The bird's head is raised and long, thin beak points forward. Decorations are: incised circles for eyes; incised line around beak; vertical waves at shoulder; and horizontal lines along length of wings.

Knife with handle (part b) of translucent grey-green stone, tapered from top; embossed steel blade (part c) is loose. Pair of bone chopsticks (parts d-e) with silver encased ends and silver knobs at top. Flat ear pick (part f) of bone with silver band near wider end.

Ornament850/2

Jade ornament. Dangling, three-piece, brown-grey carved, translucent stone ornament. The first link is a circular loop, attached to which is a shallowly carved section of a roughly square shape with a scrolling, ornate design. Dangling from this section is a smaller, square-shaped section with a similar scrolling, character-like design.

Axe Head1060/60

Flat stone axe head that has a wide edge at one end and tapers to a rounded point at the other. Surface is polished smooth. An adhesive label on one face says, "Stone axe Fiji".

Adze1251/7 a-c

Part a is the handle of an adze. It has an acute angle to the head where a blade would be hafted. The head is wrapped with dried grass, which would have aided the hafting process. Part b is an adze blade of stone. It has an edge at one end and then tapers slightly toward other end which is missing. Part c is the missing fragment of part b.

Suspension Hook814/11 a-b

The hook (part a) has a detached eye (part b). The hook is a figure with a long oval face and a conical head with bulging eyes made out of another material. There are ears, a nose with nostrils, and a horizontal oval mouth. The arms rest straight at the sides. There are pointed breasts and a belly button. The bottom of the hook curves upward. A fibre string goes through the top part of the head.
