Chess Game Pieces2697/1 a-ff

Full set of 32 chess pieces, half carved from slate and half from walrus tusk. In each colour there are: one large walrus figure with diamonds around the base of the pedestal (parts a, q); one smaller walrus with bands around the base of the pedestal (parts b, r); two bear figures (parts c-d, s-t); two deer figures (parts e-f, u-v); two igloo figures (parts g-h, w-x); and eight bird figures (parts i-p, y-ff). All of the figures are at the top of a pedestal base. The larger white walrus piece has inlaid black stone in a band around the top of the pedestal and at the centre of each diamond around the base.

Amber beads on cotton twine in the shape of a necklace. All of the beads are flat and oval shaped with the exception of two cylindrical shaped near the back of the group. There is one lozenge that ties the two ends together. The bottom section has a metallic, coiled knot the ends with twisted silk threads, three beads then a red and white silk tassel.

Cylindrical stone object with inscriptions, very worn and eroded. There are three sets of five cyclical lines that wrap around the top, middle and bottom. The inscription between the lines is illegible. (Possibly cuneiform?)

Maroon tunic with pattern. The tunic has short standing collar, long sleeves and partial centre opening with metal and green stone buttons. The pattern repeats a flower and leaf motif in black and white on maroon ground. The inside is unlined.
