Pair of boy’s leather sandals (part a-b). The sandals have full backs and a red tongue piece attached by leather thongs to the sides. The toe strap is knotted on the underside and threaded back through the tongue piece. The sandals are have black rubber tire soles and are held together with metal nails.

Boy's yellow-white hat with three black circular bands of pattern and a black edged brim. Around the top of the hat there are black and pink ribbons as well as a pink and blue twisted string. The ribbons and string are stitched on with red and blue thread and the ends of the black ribbon are stitched in red thread. Both ribbons and string have both of their ends trailing from the back of the head.

One-piece, rectangular blouse. Multi-coloured horizontal stripes, vertical brocade bands; stitched at neck and shoulders; crocheted around arm holes, with lace added. Vertical bands are patterned with animal, flower and geometric designs. Stitching is in light and dark green. The lace at arm holes has been added on over the top portion of the holes and over the crocheted band.

Backstrap LoomSa449 a-g

A loom (parts a-g) with an unfinished woven wool textile consisting of burgundy, orange, blue, pink, green and yellow 8-forms on a burgundy and white striped ground. The textile is attached to two large, cylindrical shaped wooden sticks (part a); one at each end. Intertwine in the multi-coloured warp is a cylindrical shaped heddle covered in white twine (part c); a flat, rectangular batten with triangular, pointed ends (part d); two shed rolls (parts e-f) and a permanent bar (part g). Part b is a rectangular shaped, brown woven backstrape with brown and green twine ties at each end.
