BeltSf993

Belt composed of a narrow, warp-faced band with a herringbone pattern running the length of it. Shades of orange and green predominate with a fleck of red-purple in the centre and dark blue-green edges. One end of the band finishes in unworked warps with cut ends and the other end is finished with a square braid.

Vest with black front panels and an off-white back panel. There are two black pockets at the front corners by the centre opening, and a stand-up collar, which is partly black and partly off-white. The black panels extend under the arms about 9 cm into the back on each side.

Handspun and woven brown cloth bag lined in light yellow cotton, with a pocket on the inside. Hand-woven cotton belt, in light red, light yellow, white, light green, and purple striped pattern sewn onto sides of bag and forms the handle. Bag embroidered in silk and darn stitch. Patterns on one side is divided into large diamonds, in white, light green and dark pink, all on yellow band, divided from other pattern of diagonal rows of alternating colours, in white, yellow, light green, and hot pink. Pattern across bottom section is stylized shapes embroidered in yellow, white, yellow, and light green. Other side of bag has row of chevrons at opening, in dark pink, white, and light green and yellow between these colours. Large section of light green and orange divided by dark pink intersecting diagonal lines and straight lines. Another band of chevrons, and pattern along the bottom of bag are short diagonal lines with horizontal lines between. Blue glass beads and green fibre tassel on one bottom corner, white glass beads and green fibre tassel on other.

A conical stocking cap with a red tassel at the top and a ribbed frill around the bottom, in white with green, yellow, red and dark red edging. The top half is mid-brown and the bottom half has four bands of geometric motifs on a dark red background. Two bands repeat a six part floret connected by oblique stepped lines. One band repeats a left and right slanted ovoid. The third band has birds, circle, cross and butterfly motif. Bottom frill is not a complete circle.

A conical stocking cap with a red tassel at the top and a ribbed frill around the bottom. The top half is white, with a pink band between it and the bottom half, which has three bands of motifs on a red background, separated by thin blue lines. Two bands repeat a six part floret connected by oblique stepped lines. The third band has motifs of birds, circles, reverse curves and the name 'Selvano.' Bottom white frill has pink, yellow and green edging and is not a complete circle.

Cap with a red tassel at the top and a ribbed off-white frill with multicoloured bands around the bottom. The conical top half is mid-brown and the bottom half has two bands of milticoloured and off-white floral motifs as well as a band of off-white profile walking birds, a frontal flying bird, a circle with partitions, a cross, and a reverse curve. The name of the maker appears in the top row.

A conical stocking cap with alternating red and navy blue patterned bands and a red tassel on the top. The red patterned bands repeat a six part floret connected by oblique stepped lines. The navy blue patterned bands alternate a motif of a standing bird and an eight part circle. A comb-like navy band appears three times near the top. Two checkered rows near rim.

A loom (parts a-j) with an unfinished woven belt. The design consists of three white patterned bands with red and green figurative and geometric motifs all on a red ground. The textile is attached at the top and bottom to cylindrical shaped wooden sticks (part a). Intertwined in the multicoloured warp are two cylindrical shaped heddles; one covered in red twine, the other in brown. There are also two cylindrical shaped wooden tools (parts b and c); five cylindrical shaped wooden tools with a pointed end (parts d,e,f,g,h), all of varying size; one bone pick (part i) and a black and brown braided rope (part j).
