Backstrap Loom1500/4 a-c

Long black coloured tubular wooden piece that is supported in the centre by a black carved arch. On either ends of the tubular piece are two carved human heads. Parts b and c are pieces of green fibre cord.

Fan1493/2

Semicircular fan with six feather panels that are attached to leaf(?) handles. Feather panels are decorated with smaller blue and red feathers near their base. White fluffed feather material is found on each panel just below the blue and red feathers. Panels are connected to each other at the bottom by a brown coloured fibre wrapped metal rectangular loop. Loop has a red and white tassel hanging from the centre.

Cantonese Opera HatEdz1663

Metal hat with fabric squares and multicoloured pompoms. The gold metal frame has a round centre and scalloped outer edge. Within the frame are bat motifs, circular mirrors and fabric squares in purple, black, red, green and mauve. Attached to some of the scalloped points are pompoms; three blue/white, two orange and two turquoise.
