Parka3496/1

Parka style inner and outer coat set. Both are hooded with front centre openings, secured with zippers. Outer coat is made of light blue synthetic material, unlined. Inner coat made of white wool, lined with dark blue silk-like fabric. Two large pockets, with deeply curved openings, on either side of outer coat. Cuffs and bottom edge are trimmed with Delta Braids. Ribbon is light yellow, bordered with red along the top and brown along the bottom. Repeating pattern of green squares framing a dark purple rectangle throughout centre of yellow band. Repeating pattern of three birds embroidered along cuffs and bottom edge of inner coat. Standing pink and green birds face one another with a purple bird in between, facing forward. Wings and legs are highlighted dark green, red and light green. On the chest, on either side of the centre opening, are standing red birds with dark yellow highlights, facing one another. Cuffs, bottom edge and hood of inner coat are trimmed with white fox fur. Manufacturer's mark stamped to exterior of the inner coat's hood.

Mola blouse. Body of blouse composed of red cotton with multi-coloured mola panels; upper bodice area and the short sleeves are made of undecorated purple velveteen material, with a red cotton border around the neckline. Both front and back are similar in design. On the front is written,'K SNIJBONEN', and SAN BLAS' down the sides of the panel. There is a tie at the neck.

Small square folded bag with woven strap, tied at apex with two small braids extending from either strap. Two large dark blue tassels are attached to each lower corner. The edging on three sides is dark blue. The central design is composed of repeating triple diamond pattern in orange, dark blue, and dark red on a green background. Strap is dark blue with a vertical band of orange bordered by blue, and flecks of red; folded in half along length; ends stitched to upper corners of bag.

The central design is on a neon pink background and is composed of repeating M to W-shaped zigzags in dark blue outlined in orange. Multi-coloured, embroidered, pillbox style cap. Three bands of designs along the sides. Top and bottom bands are black with crosshatching designs overtop. Small section of diagonal lines at front of bands. Middle band made up of checkerboard pattern broken up by two small sections with separate designs. Small square section towards front of cap has a bird-like figure inside it. Figure done in neon green, background is neon blue. To right of square is a small rectangular section with an abstract design inside it. Design done in blue-grey, orange and white. Top of cap has beige centre with a small knob. Vertical bands with assortment of crosshatching, diagonal lines and triangle designs overtop surround beige centre. Colours used for all design elements are: green, yellow, blue-grey, dark red, neon blue, neon green, orange, white, black and red. Interior of cap lined with light blue cotton.

Hand Puppet3352/6

Mamulengo hand puppet of a 'João Cacunda' character. Head, hands and feet are carved from wood and painted. Hands attach to plastic tubing underneath the fabric. He has grey-pink skin, and short white fuzzy hair, beard, and moustache. He has sunken cheeks, a hooked nose, an open red mouth, and large oval black eyes. His fabric body / tunic is green floral-pattern with blue floral sleeves. A clump of polyester batting is used to give the chest form. The fabric is adhered(?) to the hands and head, and wrapped with shiny blue ribbon at the wrists and neck. Operated by inserting a hand inside the body of the puppet to control its head and movements.

Hand Puppet3381/27

Calungo hand puppet of a 'Filomena' character (the form is more similar to a doll than a puppet). The fabric body is off-white, with embroidered almond-shaped black eyes, and small red lips. She has attached curly black hair with a red ribbon on top. She wears a bright green dress with dark blue ribbon lining the collar, sleeves and hem, as well as belted around the waist. She has light blue fabric boots.
