Carved figure (part a) with pointed hood. Sleeves, coat and pants are rimmed with black paint around their bottom edges. Eyes and mouth are also filled in with black paint. Hands have holes to hold tools or weaponry, and there is part of a tool glued in his left hand. A carved ivory harpoon (parts b-f) fits into the right hand.

Two carved whalebone figures of an Inuit hunter (part a) and a dog (part b). The hunter is in a standing position with his right arm raised. A carved ivory knife (part c) and spear (part d-e) appear to be made to fit into the holes in each hand. The lining of the hunter's hood is made from black rubber, and he has dark inserts in his eyes. He has a hole in the bottom of one foot, suggesting he is missing a base. The dog's stance is rigid, as his body is straight from nose to tail, and he has two small black eyes and a round open mouth.
