Axe1054/6 a-b

The first piece is a long wood stick (part a) wrapped in brown cloth which extends into a folded brown cloth band at the top along with a skin band that has blue and white beadwork which is also along the top part of the stick. The second piece is a white-grey stone (part b) with conical-like ends and a "waist" in the middle in which a small hole has been drilled in one side.

A large wood container with a hande carved with vertical grooves and a long spout which is open along the top. The desin consists of a horizontal row of boxed x-shapes at the top with a horizontal triangular- patterned row with alternating diagonal lines within and a major design of long, thin vertical petal-like pattern all around.

Reading Glasses980/3 a-b

A pair of silvery metal spectacles (part a) with a square upper bridge, circular eye pieces with glass, arms that fold out and bend slightly to shape to the wearer's head with flat black circular ends. The case (part b) is fairly flat and has an elongated oval shape. It is painted black and carved with writing characters on one side and with a bird in a tree on the other side. The lid is attached to the main case through flat green braided string with a white loop at the top and two yellow-green tassels.

Cylindrical whistle that tapers at one end to a mouthpiece for a whistle; mouthpiece has one hole in end and one hole in diagonal cutout from one side. A band of coiled cloth goes around circumference just below the diagonal cutout.

Black lacquered stand with a golden floral design painted on it. Stand is made of two roughly rectangular frame-shaped parts bolted together so that they open to create a stable footprint. A braided orange cord with tasseled ends is looped through four holes on the bottom and tied to keep the pieces from opening too far.

A brown, wooden, carved staff. Two figures stand side-by-side at the top. Six smaller figures with short rectangular faces and large ears stand in a row along the sides just below them. Three small round heads are in between these two rows on the sides. Triangles have been carved out in between the three heads. Near the bottom two pairs of figures are carved with each pair sitting back-to-back. All the figures with arms are carved so that their hands clasp over their stomach.
