Polychrome nesting dolls. The largest doll (part a-b) is painted with brown clothing, a blue and white diamond-patterned head band, a red waist line, and a yellow base. The next doll (c-d) is painted with brown clothing, a red and white oval-patterned head band, a yellow waist line, and a green and red beaded necklace. The next smallest (e-f) is painted with brown clothing, a white head band with blue dots, and a green waist line. A smaller doll (g-h) is painted with a yellow head band. An even smaller doll (i-j) is painted with a pink head band. A tiny doll (k-l) is painted with a green head band and inside it is a very small single piece 'doll' (part m).

Rod PuppetIb288 a-c

Three-dimensional male puppet: large head (part b) fits into body with apron and skirt (part a), and a control rod (part c) with a long shaft passes through the body and fits into the neck of the figure's head. The body has jointed arms, each with a long controlling rod attached. The figure's wooden head displays an elaborate gold and black painted headdress of the "shrimp's tongue" style, with gehung supit orang sweeping back and over to touch the top of the head. It is decorated with nine hair curls reaching the siyung jawi, protruding below the Garuda Mungkur with its short utah-utah. A long sumping stretches back from the decorated ear with its small hair curl. A diadem is located above the forehead. The face is cream-coloured with small slit eyes, a thin black moustache and small teeth; the head is bent forward. Red arm ornaments at wrists and biceps, and the fingers extend from each hand at a right angle to the wrists. Torso and arms have remains of gold paint. The figure wears a grey and dark blue-black apron interwoven with blue metallic thread and decorated with silver, red and purple sequins on the chest and collar. The skirt is off-white cotton.

Three-dimensional monstrous humanoid puppet: large head (part b) fits into body with long tunic (part a), and a control rod (part c) with a long shaft passes through the body and fits into the neck of the figure's head. The body has jointed arms, each with a long controlling rod attached. Large head, dominated by swollen nose, with large eyes and red irises. Wide toothy mouth with double hooked teeth in each corner and wide, red lips. Whiskers, mouth, ring, ears, brown, and eyes outlined in black. Shoulder length black hair in curls, and a dark green hat. Face two colours, vertically split: pale green on the figure's right, and pink to the figure's left. Arms and hands painted gold, with bracelets and nails red. Hands are flat, with fingers extended. Clothed in full length tunic of six different multicoloured fabrics. Light purple upright collar; top, light blue with red and blue stripes; middle section (and jabot, the oval flap hanging from neck) made from synthetic black fabric with bright green, orange, red and yellow floral print. Jabot decorated with sequins and beads. Lower section of tunic: red, white and green flowers on a dark blue background. Black, red, white diagonal stripes with white dots on reverse. Sleeves are made of light and dark brown sythetic material.

Three-dimensional puppet depicting a male humanoid mythical being: large head (part b) fits into body with jacket and skirt (part a), and a control rod (part c) with a long shaft passes through the body and fits into the neck of the figure's head. The body has jointed arms, each with a long controlling rod attached. The figure has a large, flesh-coloured head with round, bulbous features. Broad, bare forehead, bulging eyes, and a broad and flat nose. Wide toothy mouth with one hooked tooth in each corner, curved upwards. Red lips and irises, black lines define eyes, nose, eyebrows, ears and mouth. Semi-bald with black hair, sideburns, moustache and curly beard. Round flesh coloured protrusion at back of head. The figure is wearing a small blue conical cap at the top of his head. Hands roughly carved, and flat with fingers extended, with red bracelets. Clothed in long plaid dark red, yellow and green skirt. Close-fitting jacket with long sleeves with wide purple graduating to thin diagonal purple stripes on an off-white background and with flowers in red, pink and green.

The body has jointed arms, each with a long controlling rod attached. The figure has a prominent nose, protruding chin, small eyes with red irises turned upwards. Small mouth, red lips. Black lines define nose, eyes, wrinkles, beard, short black hair, and sideburns. Face is glossy white, head tilted slightly forward, turban or cloth wrapped around head with light and dark blue, red, pink, and white stripes with black lines. Body clothed in a long, faded off-white tunic with long sleeves. Dropped shoulders, stand-up collar, and slit on side. Sash with gold, yellow, green, red and purple embroidery crosses diagonally over the torso. Hands are flat with fingers extended, and red bracelets at wrists.

Mask depicting the rounded and lined face of a middle-aged village woman (kolam mask). The mask has a low forehead terminating just above the hairline and extending in shelf-like projection (unpainted with rough surface) towards the inner side of the mask. The face is pink, the hair, eyebrows, pupils, and rims of the eyes are painted black, the protruding lips are red, and the teeth and remainder of the eyes are painted off-white. Black dot directly below hair part. Directly below each eye is a hole. The nose is a sharp, narrow, triangular shape with flared nostrils.

The body has jointed arms, each with a long controlling rod attached. Face dark pink, with gold ears and neck. Hair, sideburns, beard, moustache, and eyebrows black. Red irises. White upper teeth and fangs. Prominent upper lip and nose. Wearing white hat, gold and red trim, peaked brim. Cylindrical body shape ending below waist. Wearing cotton long-sleeved black tunic, red collar and suspenders, yellow belt, flowered yoke inset with off-white strip down front. Cotton one-piece skirt open in back, patterned brown, yellow, and black. Arms in two pieces jointed at elbow. Hands open. Holes in palms through which string passes attaching sticks.

Three-dimensional male humanoid puppet: large head (part b) fits into body with skirt (part a), and a control rod (part c) with a long shaft that passes through the body and fits into the neck of the figure's head. The body has jointed arms, each with a long controlling rod attached. Pink face, black bushy eyebrows over an upward turned long nose. Open mouth showing white teeth and a single fang extending from each corner of the upper jaw; evident overbite. Black painted goatee on chin. Cap-like crown with six points: includes jamang, sumping and fringe of hair with one kendit. Crown is painted gold and red and has a Garuda Mungkur. Upper body and arms unclothed. Some chipped paint on chest. Two arms; jointed at elbow and shoulder with string and attached at each hand to a controlling wand. Ornaments on upper arm, hands face upwards. Wand is missing from the puppet's right arm. Batiked skirt in yellow with brown checkered pattern with a brown diamond at each joint.
