A flat tall puppet, representing the character Hanoman, painted white with black curly hair curled outward and upward at the back and a gold-coloured headdress with red, white, blue, and green. The eyes are round and red. The mouth is red with gold-coloured teeth and fangs. The nose is long and pointed outward. He is wearing a red, black, and gold-coloured checkered outfit, blue anklets, and red bracelets with blue and green and gold-coloured curled protrusions. The shoulders and elbows are rotatable and a marionette stick is attached through the palm of each hand.

Shadow Puppet1374/22

Two-dimensional figure of a man with articulated shoulders and elbows. Man's skin is painted gold; hair is painted black and has cutout to resemble curly hair. He is wearing regalia at waist, ears, and side of head; skirt is in blue, red, white, orange, green, and yellow and has cutouts for texture; earring is blue and white; hair decoration goes from temple down neck and is in the same colours as the skirt. The arms are controlled by two horn rods that are attached to the wrists; a third horn rod has central split for most of its length into which the puppet has been set.

Figure has four arms, two of which are folded in the front and the other two of which are moveable attachments with rivets at the joints, each with a light yellow-brown horn handle. Figure is wearing red, green, blue, pink, and gold-coloured clothing with an elaborate cut-out design. There is a white buffalo at the bottom on a red carpet. Single light brown-grey horn stick along the off-centre, attached with thread, slit vertically along both sides, and curving at the top.

Shadow puppet of cured hide pressed flat; depicts a humanoid, demonic figure. Hair is flowing outwards and down the back is black. Yellow and red headband goes across forehead and around ear. Head is positioned to 3/4 view. Eyes are crossed. Mouth has fangs and is breathing red flames on to right knee and foot. Naked from waist up, showing hanging breasts and rounded stomach. Wears a blue sarong with a fine black stripe tied at waist by a red sash with a fine black stripe. Punched through designs of circles and lines. Painted both sides. Right arm swings free from shoulder and is bound with a coarse fibre cord.

Javanese Wayang Kulit puppet of monkey general. Brown pudgy body with red face, red and white eyes, open mouth with red teeth. Curling black beard and hair; feet set wide apart on red base. Wears yellow, blue, red, headdress; bracelets on wrists and ankles and on upper arms. Necklace extending to waist. Bare upper torso. Wears checked black and white skirt with red lines, blue, green, black, white, flounces going down legs and between legs onto base. Plastic rivets on elbows and shoulders. Green stick ties horn to hands. Support stick goes from head, down body and extends further to a carved pointed end. Paint faded or peeled off in areas. Three fingers missing on one hand. A bird is on hat, and one on his waist sash.

Javanese Wayang (shadow) Kulit (leather) puppet of man wearing elaborate crown and outfit. Upper torso bare except for floral pink and red sashes that connect to crown. Large trousers go from hips to knees, highly decorated in pink, blue, and green, and gold leaf all over. Feet together on a red platform. Plastic rivets at shoulder and elbows. Support stick goes from head all down body into point attached by white string half way to end of horn stick curved. Arm sticks also black attached to hands with white string.
