A flat beige-coloured, double-lobed club with a straight handle. At the end of the rectangular handle, there is a finial of a stylized animal, with a hole for a cord.

A totem-like figure of a bird standing on a fish (broken) sits in the centre of a long, arched piece of whale bone; the head and forelegs of a bear are carved at each end of the bone piece. Images of three whales are painted on either side of the bone.

Eyes, some lines and background areas have been coloured black (ink or paint?). Back of pole smooth and slightly concave. Pole attached to rounded base, with scalloped pattern, by two metal screws. Artist name, place and date inscribed on back.
