Model totem pole with five figures. The figures represented, from the base upwards, are a man, the face of a mythical being, a lizard, a seated man, and an eagle. The eagle's face and breast are white, his body and wings are green. The wings are also accented with red. The seated man is brown with details added in black. The lizard is green with red dots on a piece of black spotted wood. The mythical being is red with facial details in black. The man at the base of the totem pole is brown with details added in black. The base is a thick tiered square, painted brown and attached to the totem pole.
Bone barbs set onto three prongs. The end of the shaft is plain and wrapped with white string and has a coiled wire loop with a nail bent through it. Near to this, the shaft is painted red and then becomes dark brown-black where it is wrapped with fibre at the base which is also painted red. The base of each of the three prongs is plain and then has a section painted red. Each bone barb is wrapped with fibre under which, there is a tiny barb.
Long hardwood point set into softwood shaft. The shaft is painted in sections of white, red, and black from bottom to top and appears to have had some coiling around the lower white area. The end of the shaft has a bit of coiling fibre. The base of the shaft is wrapped with fibre. The long dark red-brown point is plain.
Chipped blade set into wood, then into cane shaft. Binding is decorated with black, red, and white triangles outlined with string and accented with white seeds. Obsidian blade is rectangular and angles along the edge to create a point at one side end. From the base of the point, the design is as follows: red, white, and black triangles and diamond shapes; and six seeds, one at either end and in between each white diamond shape surrounded by red.
Painted hollow wood drum covered with skin held in place by two ringed bands of flower patterned fabric. From the larger cylindrical upper portion, the drum has a smaller ringed section and an outward and downward flaring base. The upper portion from top to bottom has the following: a horizontal band of upward pointing red triangles; a horizontal, rounded, yellow band; a horizontal wood 'fringe' of carved yellow and red semi-circles; a horizontal yellow band of vertical grooves; a horizontal, rounded, green band; and a horizontal wood 'fringe' of carved yellow and red semi-circles. The smaller ringed section has a central horizontal, rounded, red band with a horizontal wood 'fringe' of carved green semi-circles at either end surrounded by a horizontal red zig zag-like band and a horizontal wood 'fringe' of carved yellow semi-circles along the border at either end. At either end of this central design of the smaller ringed section, there is a horizontal, rounded, red band with a horizontal wood 'fringe' of carved yellow semi-circles along the border at either end. Painted green in the plain bands in between these designs of the smaller ringed section. The base has downward pointing red triangles; a green band; a horizontal yellow band of vertical grooves; a horizontal wood 'fringe' of carved red semi-circles; and a plain horizontal, rounded band.
Painted wolf mask. The mask is brown with a long rounded snout, large rounded ears and high nostrils. There is a black circle and trailing line on each side of the nose. The nostrils and the inside of the ear are painted red. The teeth are white. The inside of the ear and the lips are outlined in green. The oval eye is white with clear round glass in the centre. Above the eye is a pointed black eyebrow. The lower jaw is missing and a wooden block has been added for support.
Painted grouse headdress with an attached protruding beak and a large opening under the beak. To either side of the opening are three carved sections, painted red, green and white. The cheek area is green with white dots along the edge and three half circles at the sides. The beak and area surrounding the eyes is brown. The eyes are white with round black centres. Two black arches extend over the eyes. There is a red band with white and black dots at the top of the headdress. Below the red band is a white band that dips in the centre. Twigs visible above the headdress are attached to the back of the mask with metal wire and fibres. (Similar to A8099).
Painted bird headdress, with a protruding beak at front centre. Painted red overall, with other features and designs painted on. The beak and area surrounding the eyes is blue, eyebrows are black. White is used to outline the eyebrows, eyes, cheeks and create other patterns like dashes in the blue area around the eyes, and a half circle on the forehead. Above the face is a row of carved feathers, with a white triangle and an arching line. Other colours on the headdress include red, blue, green and yellow. Two large metal studs are used for eyes, secured by nails. Other smaller metal studs are painted white and decorate the area around the face. Baleen is attached to the back of the mask and is visible above the headdress. Two brown textiles are also attached to the back of the mask creating a hat-like structure. (Similar to A7858).
Black headdress with a long beak-like mouth. The lower portion of the beak is wired on the inside to open and close. Three small holes are visible beside the lower beak. The eye is a black circle within a red oval and there is a small rounded ear on either side. Between the ears, the back of the headdress is open. There are two upper wooden braces and one lower for support.
Ink (a) in the form of a male figure standing on a lobster (?), carrying a sword and dressed in an elaborate robe painted gold with green and blue details in the form of irises and characters representing happiness. The figure fits into a specially made rectangular wooden box composed of five walls (b) with a sliding front panel composed of a wooden frame (c) that holds a sheet of glass (d). The box is fitted with cardboard cut and bent to fit snugly around the ink figure and a base (e) that fits inside the box, all of which is covered in fibre with woven multicoloured floral patterns except for the back, which is red fabric.
