A two-dimensional humanoid figure puppet with a one-piece wood body carved in low relief. Unpainted wood handle extends below the foot on the left. Articulate leather arms attached at the shoulder with knotted string and are jointed at the shoulders and the elbows. Wood sticks are attached to the palms to manipulate the arms. Profile body and face are looking to the right. The pink face has a grey beard and moustache. Grey hair. The eyes are large and open. The upper teeth are visible. Wearing a green tunic and trousers with a band of gold paint at the neck and the waist. The pink feet are wearing black shoes with red ground in between.

A three-dimensional male humanoid figure puppet. Has a large head and jointed arms attached to controlling rods. The pink face is positioned downwards with red lips and other features outlined in black. Gelung supit urang with Garuda Mungkur (short-tongued), diadem (jamang), lungsen, Tali Garuda (mythical bird) below sumping to jamang, in black, gold, red, green, white, and pink. Arms and hands are painted gold with ornaments at the biceps and at the wrists. The chest is covered by a black garment with opalescent paper sewn on in square pattern having a star-like shape at the centre. Wearing an orange and beige geometrically patterned batik skirt.

A three-dimensional male humanoid figure puppet. Has a large head and jointed arms attached to controlling rods. The dark red face is positioned forward with white eyes, prominent upper teeth, a moustache, hair, and details in black. Bulging features. The headdress is a variation of gelung keling, with a turban-like front, and a reversed curl in white, blue, and red while the diadem (jamang) is in gold. Very long hair extending below the rear of the headdress. Very slim body with the neck and the arms painted in gold. Arm ornaments are at the wrists and the biceps with the hands held flat and bending back at the wrists. The chest is covered by a black triangular garment with frills over the top front of the yellow and black batik skirt.

Cantonese Opera BannerN1.739 a-b

Pair of matching hanging panels (parts a and b); each consists of three pieces of embroidered cloth attached to a decorative wooden head piece. Head piece is straight across the bottom, scroll-shaped on top, made of wood painted rust red at back and sides, with silk glued and nailed to the front. Front of headpiece is covered with an embroidered silver butterfly motif on green ground with a large red circle; edge is outlined with pink ribbon. Suspended from head are three panels: a wide central one flanked by two narrow ones. Central panel: Chinese characters silver on green ground, appliqued (six circles). Butterfly, peach and gourd motifs, silver on red ground, blue edging; central panel finished at bottom with green knotted fringe. Side panels: peony motif, silver on red ground. Red cotton lining. Hole drilled in wood at top, with string loop for suspension.

Cantonese Opera FanN1.737 a

A shield-shaped fan made of cardboard with a heavy rolled edge of fabric supported by a wood socket and slat running up the centre back. The concave front has a main design consisting of a bird facing to its right on a peony tree among prunus motifs with turquoise, blue, black, pink, mauve, grey, and pale green bordered by tin reflectors, mirrors, on an ivory-coloured background. The top of the bird's head is blue, and the middle of its wings are purple. A golden bat is at the base with an attached deep pink tassel. The convex back has a printed rose design, 18th century style, on cotton.

The bear's nose and open mouth are outlined with red. The copper that the bear is holding is painted with an upper section that has a circular face with its black eyes surrounded by a dark green area with a red mouth. This face has a six-pointed red sun-like-shaped outline around it. The lower section of the copper is painted black with three double-pairs of upward pointing arrows with a vertical line down the middle. There is a human head in between the bear and the copper.
