Headdress1398/1

Wooden thunderbird headdress with an orange beak, red mouth and nostrils, and black, white and red ears and face. Top edge of headdress is ringed with braided brown and dyed, red cedar bark. Top of headdress between the two ears are tightly packed vertical strands of brown and red cedar bark and brown and white feathers.

Bentwood Box1182/1 a-b

A rectangular wood box on a flat base with a lid (part a) that fits on top. The sides of the box and lid are painted with red and black stylized creatures. There are two carved faces on the either sides of the lid with black eyes and eyebrows and a red mouth. The base, top, and sides of the box are made of red cedar; the faces are carved of alder and inset into the cedar, held in place with small wooden dowels. While there may be commercial paints used on the outside, the inner part is painted with a mineral-based paint made of red ochre.

Three-dimensional male humanoid puppet (Policeman character): head with painted black hair (part b) fits into body clothed in a button-down khaki shirt, brown belt and green-brown trousers (part a). The body has jointed arms and legs. Figure is dressed as a policeman, wearing a black cap with a silver star on the front, a silver badge pinned to the front of the shirt, carved brown wooden shoes and a wristwatch with a golden face. Figure has a brown face with painted black eyebrows, articulated eyes and nose, a red mouth and a painted black moustache. Attached at the puppet's shoulders and hands are several thin black cords tied to a plain wooden stick.

Wooden puppet of a standing bovine animal, with a single hump over its shoulders. The hindquarters, tops of the front legs, shoulders and the neck are covered with burlap. The head is detached from the body, connected only by a sleeve of burlap. There is a cavity underneath the stomach. The face is painted white with black and red rimmed eyes, a red mouth, and articulated horns and ears. A lead line of twined cord is looped through the nostrils.

Puppetry cart, in pieces. Wooden wheel with metal rim (part a), wooden wheel with metal rim that has been broken and bound with twine (part b), wheel axle (part c), arm (part d), arm that has been broken and repaired with wooden supports (part e), base of wagon (part f), two wagon sides (parts g and h). Wheel spokes are painted red; axle and arms are painted red; wagon base is painted red on one face and three sides with a thin white line inside a thicker black line on the red face; the two wagon sides are painted red with a yellow border, a yellow line in a recessed groove. The sides are inscribed with "1976" painted in white and black, with a black reverse.
