The top part of the rattle (a) is a carved and painted raven rattle with a human and a frog on its back. The bottom part (part b) is an oval bowl-shaped with longer handle. The bowl area is carved and painted with a bird face with a beak carved in relief. Handles of both parts are made to fit together. The light yellow-brown wood of each part is painted black and red, dark blue and dark green. Inscribed on top "V. Schooner"; the bottom has "V.S."
Straight, round, wooden beater. One end is decorated with two carved bands, one of triangles and yellow zigzag line and one of red circles with white centres. The other end has a handle area formed by two sections of three incised bands with one red and one white band painted between them.
Ovular mask with protruding nose that is in the shape of a bird's head and beak. Eyes are circular cutouts and mouth is a horizontal ovular cutout; front is flat and slanted with forehead further forward than chin. Decoration is in white and black stripes on red ground. Back has cloth attached with nails around top; a wire hanger is attached to sides with metal hooks; a small area has been slightly hollowed out for nose.
Cantonese opera prop. Part a is the sword and part b is the sheath or sword covering. There is a scalloped wooden piece attached to the side of the sheath that has two holes in it near each end. A large wooden bead is attached to a beige coloured fibre cord. The cord is strung through the two holes near one end and is secured with knots. The sheath and sword handle are red and are decorated with gold coloured scrolled and dotted designs.
Golden wooden cube with circular hole bored in the centre--hole has two parallel wires running through it. Thick, twisted electrical cord runs from one side of the wooden square, ending in a plug.
Stringed musical instrument with boat-shaped body, incised and carved with black and beige geometric leaf-like designs. Two wires are strung across the middle portion of the boat shape between two raised pieces. Braided fibre with wooden pick is attached to one end.
White-brown, shallowly carved and painted image of a man, woman and child standing in front of a cross. A bird is depicted directly above them, a human face flanked by wings in a sun disc-like configuration directly below them. Painted on a roughly square, brown wooden panel with two holes in the top corners and two tab-like pegs on the bottom.
Three bare chested Christ figures with no arms in poses reminiscent of the crucifixion. Parts a and b are dark brown, slender, have highly articulated ribs, and are arranged in a contrapposto fashion. Part c is larger and more fleshed out, painted white with brown hair, beard, and blue cloth around the waist. Part d is a stand.
A shrine with doors that open at the front (part a) to reveal a small base with three figures on it (part b) which fits inside the shrine. The shrine is painted with white petals on a black background at the bottom, a yellow and orange monkey within a black frame on each door, two white birds outlined with black on a white background with their necks around each other on the upper part, and a yellow cordate-shaped decoration with a flower in the centre at the top. The sides of the shrine have a diamond-shaped pattern outlined with yellow and having white dots in the centre of a green background. The three platforms separating each part are pink with white dots around the edges and yellow with black horizontal lines on the sides. The figures on a base within (part b) have a blue base. The figures are painted with red, black, and yellow faces on a white background. One figure has a blue-painted lower half body, another has a black one, and the other has a green one.
