A long rectangular cedar plank with faded black and red Northwest Coast designs imprinted in the surface of the wood. Both edges are straight edges. Black designs are most visible down the length of the front of the plank. An outline to a circular design is near the bottom. Back is plain.

Rod Puppet1026/1 a-d

A white puppet with an upper body (part a) and a head carved with a headpiece (part b) attached together by a stick (part c). One marionette stick had broken off with the right hand, now repaired. The shoulders can rotate and the elbows can bend. The waist (part a) and the stick (part c) have "10/SHINtA" written in blue.

A man's face carved with a crown over the painted black hair. The crown is gold in colour with red dots within gold-coloured embellishments. There are two horizontal curvy brow furrows in the middle of the forehead, and the eyebrows are also painted black. The red eyes have curved slits directly underneath, and the nostrils are cut out. There is a brown moustache made of hair. The red mouth has four shell covered teeth. Attached to the side is a fibre string with some metal pieces.

Brown-yellow, long, flat wooden object with rounded ends and a handle in the centre. Piece of brown leather is tied in a loop through the handle. Top is carved with long horizontal strokes intersected by four red vertical lines. Bottom is carved with alternating plain and red lines carved horizontally and a thick, zigzagging design.

Fertility figure (akuaba) with a flat, disc-shaped head. High oval forehead, curved upraised brows, horizontal semi-oval eyes, a long vertical nose, and a small mouth at the bottom of the face. Rings are carved around the neck. The horizontal rectangular arms are outstretched to the sides with small pointed breasts below. The lower half of the body is cylindrical and ends with a base at the bottom. Red, green, brown, blue, and yellow beaded strings adorn the figure at the top, and a turquise, pink, white, and yellow beaded string adorns the bottom. The figure is attached to a black painted stand with a metal nail. The stand has red velvety material on the bottom.

Black coloured oval-shaped mask with two curved and tapered down turned horns. The face has carved and scalloped geometric designs on forehead, thinly carved vertical line from forehead down to eyebrow ridge, thinly carved eyebrow ridges, a wider nose ridge with small defined nostrils, red coloured eyelids, small slits for eyes, and small red lips. Jagged triangular-shaped edge on the perimeter of face.

Brown, wooden handle topped by a large, elliptical-shaped face with a pointed head and chin. Carved from a single piece of wood, the face is much larger than the width of the handle and gives the impression of being mounted upon a pole. Face is mask-like, painted with faded white, black and red paint, has round black eyes and an open mouth bridged by wood running from the nose to the chin. Entire object is permanently attached by a screw to a black metal stand with a square base. Initials "SP" are inscribed on the reverse in white.
