Mask1373/16

A dark brown headpiece with a long curved nose. Atop the headpiece there protrudes forward a long flat curved piece with a fin-like ridge. Along the curved sides of the headpiece and the sides of the protruding long flat curved piece there is a red-brown and grey-white triangular geometric pattern. Holes have been made along the bottom of the headpiece.

A carved black face mask with two horns that protrude upward and curve concavely. The rounded eyes are carved with slits. The oval mouth with teeth gently protrudes outward. At each side there protrudes, from top to bottom, a vertical rectangle with two sets of four horizontal lines, a knob, and a "leg" which points downward.

There is another metal ring on the bottom near the tip end. The rounded wood handle is painted red with a circular knob at the end from which dangles a metal ring. There are three flat metal circles of gradually diminishing sizes with rimmed with dots that are in between the handle and the blade.

Shadow puppet of a dragon. Black head is decorated with yellow dots and black triangular designs. Mouth and tongue are red. Long curved body is decorated with black and yellow scales.Tail is fanned out and decorated with yellow line designs at tips and black line designs at its base. Four legs with sharp claws are along the length of the body. Two long sticks with metal rods are attached to the tail and the head of the puppet.

Mask1373/20

Yali mask with two horn-like projections that point upward and curve convexly. The horn-like pieces are linked together in the middle by a square decorated with a white X-like design, on a black background. The horn-like pieces are decorated with red-brown, white-grey, and black geometric designs of lines, triangles, and squares. The helmet part is decorated with red-brown, white-grey, and black triangles on the upper half and horizontal lines on the bottom half which extend to two squares which protrude outward at the sides of both ends. The eyes are carved out as vertical rectangles. The nose, mouth with teeth, and beard are geometric rectanglur features. Fibre rope is threaded through the holes made along the sides of the mask.

Buffalo Headdress1491/5

Buffalo, or bush cow, headdress (or mask). The animal has a long narrow face, with tapered horns on its head that curve inward at the ends. The lower part of thehorns is decorated with a white cross-hatching design. The head of the animal has eyes carved in relief and outlined in white paint, small oval-shaped protruding ears, wide oval-shaped nostrils painted white in the centre, and a slightly open mouth with large white painted teeth.

Woodblock, or print block. Rectangular-shaped brown and black wood block with three rows of characters carved in relief and raised on surface. The top and bottom lines are in the Lantsa Sanskrit script and the middle line bears the mantra in Tibetan script, which may be transliterated as **||Om mani padme hum|. Thinly carved border around entire frame.
