Three dimensional puppet. The woman’s head (part a) has a green painted face, with eyes that gaze upwards under curved brows. The hair is pulled back from her face and decorated with a triangular, blue headdress and carved gold embellishments. A long sleeved tunic covers the torso (part b), beneath which is a long patterned skirt hiding a removable wooden stick (part c) which controls the movement of the head and connects the figure to its cork base (part d) which is painted black . The arms are moveable at shoulder and elbow by wooden sticks attached to each hand, which are painted gold.
Parrot mask with a green head and a grey beak. Black and yellow horizontal lines distinguish beak from parrot face. Top of head has repeating pattern of white, red and black horizontal stripes on top of green base colour. Eyes are raised circular holes outlined in red, yellow and black, with white and brown porcupine quills(?) inserted and radiating outwards in a circle. Mouth outlined with red and black line. Red nostrils. Mask is carved from wood. Appears to have been coated in plaster before painting.

The head (part a) has a white painted face with finely carved and painted features, including wrinkles across the forehead and around the mouth. The mouth is open, showing 2 large teeth, and is surrounded by a moustache and beard. Ears and nose are protruding. The head is topped by a round black cap and hair is gathered at the back. The torso (part b) is covered with a long sleeved tunic and a yellow sarong, which covers a removable wooden stick (part c) that controls the movement of the head and connects the figure to its cork base (part d). The arms are moveable at shoulder and elbow by wooden sticks attached to each hand. Hands are painted red.
Mask of a man’s face, with most features and lines carved rather than solely painted. Textured hair has been carved into the top and sides of the mask and painted white. White animal hair, still attached to hide, has been used to create the eyebrows and moustache. Wrinkles have been carved into the face on forehead, cheeks and chin and surrounding the eyes, and have been emphasized with black paint. Under the painted pupils, narrow eyeholes have been bored through the wood. The protruding nose has two nostril holes bored through as well, and there is an air hole through the mouth, between the lips. Two small holes have been bored on each side of the mask at the edges. The interior of the mask is concave.
Mask of a man’s face, with all features carved rather than solely painted. Black wavy hair surrounds a headdress carved with flowers and line patterns, painted bronze. Thick black eyebrows sit above large round eyes with bored eyeholes under the pupils. Below a pronounced forehead crease is a large protruding nose with two nostril holes bored through the wood. The mouth is open to show a row of white teeth and to either side is a curling moustache. Two small holes are bored through the sides of the mask at the edges, and one at the top centre. The interior of the mask is concave and painted brown.
Rod puppet named Rama. The head (part a) has a white face with black painted eyes and brows and a red smiling mouth. Pompoms hang from above each ear. Long, luxuriantly curled black hair is topped by a high, elaborate, multicoloured headdress. The gold torso (part b) is partially covered by a beaded, red velvet bib, with a matching apron falling from the waist. Pink satiny flaps hang from the sides of the apron. A long sarong hides a wooden stick (part c) that extends up through the torso and into the puppet’s head to control its movement. The arms are moveable at shoulder and elbow by wooden sticks attached to each hand.
Carved and painted wooden figure of a man playing a nose flute. The figure has a narrow, long oval-shaped head. His eyes are shell inlay. He has a long nose with large nostrils. His mouth is formed of a slit in the wood. Attached to his nose is a long flute that has a zigzag edge that faces outwards. He holds the flute in his left hand and it connects with his body again at his lower torso. The man’s pectoral muscles are very pronounced. His right arm is rounded at the end and does not have a hand. The man is standing and his knees are slightly bent. He does not have feet instead his calves connect to a two-level base. From the back of the figure, one can see that his lower spine is curved and that his buttocks are sticking out. He has pronounced buttocks muscles. There is an inscription carved into the bottom of the object.
