A brown mask with fused dark brown upraised eyebrows, semi-oval cut out eyes with hooded eyelids, a curved nose with the nostrils cut out, and an open cut out mouth outlined with zigzags on the lips. The ears are circular knobs, and the cheeks are carved with a horizontal rectangular design. The headdress is made with plant fibre and leaf covered with dark brown and red fabric with a pony-tail at the top.

Rod Puppet1189/1 a-c

A gold-coloured puppet with an upper body (part b) and a head carved with a headpiece (part a) attached together by a stick (part c). The shoulders can rotate and the elbows can bend. Marionnette sticks attached through the hands. Face is orange brown with red eyes and mouth with white teeth. Black hair, moustache, and beard. Large ears. Big headdress is red and gold-coloured. Black fabric upper garment outlined with gold zig zag ribbon, sequins, and beads with beaded star in centre is just above the belly. Black belt embroidered with red and yellow flowers including green leaves. Arms carved with red arm bands and red wrist bracelets. Skirt is a dark brown and white spotted floral design on a reddish-brown and cream-coloured patterned background.

Mask919/2

Black coloured circular mask with carved wood horns that curl inwards. Rim of mask is decorated with red and white carved triangular designs. Oval-shaped eyes are cut-out. Mouth is small and rectangular with white teeth. There are two X's on the cheeks in red. Horns are painted black and have white tips.

Gelede Mask1373/1

Human face mask with oval-shaped base. Hair section takes up two-thirds of the mask and extends upwards at an angle. Hair on mask has three rows of raised rectangular sections that are painted with alternating colours of yellow, and black with yellow dots. The face takes up one-third of the mask. The face has oval-shaped cut-out eyes that taper at the corners, a small nose, a slightly defined mouth, and protruding ears. Forehead, eyebrows, cheeks and chin are decorated with black and red painted designs.

Wood mask painted with a white face outlined with dark brown. Flat circular dark brown headdress at top with two horn-like pieces curving up and backward. Small carved ears, mouth and nose. Brown oval eyes with holes cut out underneath. Dark bown line down middle of forehead to nose and curved up over the eyebrows. Dark brown cheeks. Holes made along sides of mask. String tied around the back of the headdress.

Carving946/32 a-b

Miniature wooden carving of a seesaw-like object with one side shorter than the other. A man holding a long, straight stick stands on the fulcrum facing the short end. Mounted to the underside of the short end is a pestle-like projection that hovers above a large, open mortar-like object on the ground below it. The seesaw-like object can teeter back and forth, and is mounted on a long, flat, rectangular piece of wood--inscription on the bottom of the mount reads: "Husking [?] grain."

Miniature wooden carving of a man pushing an open, flat cart with a single wagon-like wheel underneath and two stick-like handles attached at the back for the driver to man--the wheel and cart can pivot. A vertical protrusion divides the cart in two with two basket like objects resting on either side of it--a piece a red fabric with a white pattern is draped over this divider and onto the floor of the cart. The carving is mounted on a flat rectangular piece of wood with an inscription on the bottom: "Coal carrying."

Dance Wand973/4 b

Long tubular stick with brown fibre tassel. There are vertical rows of triangular-shaped sections that alternate between the colours yellow and brown. There is a horizontal band of brown at the base of the stick. There are two holes in the stick near the tip where the fibre tassel connects to the wood.
