Oval-shaped wood bucket; overlapped sides stitched with root. Brown painted exterior has two carved grooves. Attached by metal pins on both sides of bucket is a piece of walrus tusk with a hole in it and a hide thong tied to a walrus tusk handle.
One carved piece of wood contoured to fit the face. Narrow eye slits are blackened on interior. Two drilled holes on one side, five on the other. Of the five, four are plugged with sinew. Top corner is broken off.
Bowl made of lacquered wood with deep walls. The bowl is red ovreall with painted decoration in orange, dark yellow and black. Floral designs and cartouches with writing alternate below the rim, the centre band has scenes of women and men in dwellings and in conversation, and there is also a scene of tiger biting a beast's neck. Rim of mouth is black. The bottom has bands of red, black, and yellow floral designs inside concentric rings.
A long rectangular board made of dark brown-coloured cedar in an openwork design tapering from the widest end. Perforations with coloured, bevelled edges are spaced down the board's length. Yellow-brown openings are three pairs of varying sized elongated ovals, and two ovals, each with a flaring extended triangle shape out one side. These two are arranged lengthwise on the board between pairs of ovals. Last element is recessed red ovoid with perforated eye with dark brown pupil in centre. Three joined cedar pieces: main one is shaped like a forehead. On front, slanting up towards centre are eyes: slightly l-shaped, orange-coloured ovoids, recessed, with black banded, elevated pupils. Black eyebrows above. Long recessed mouth surrounded by black form line. Large red teeth in variant u form. Coloured fields of facial features separated by white. Four nails in piece's front. Space between eyes spread with adhesive for attaching piece. Extending outwards from nose area, piece has three projections in red, black, and white; black one has bulbous end. Hinged on top at back of main piece are two articulated three-feather wings, both sides painted with red, black, and white u forms. Wings attached to main piece by leather pieces nailed on and rigged with fibre cord. White overall has yellowed. Leather is brittle.
Female doll elegantly and elaborately dressed in traditional costume. Gold headdress decorated with two silver metal flower bunches at each side of head and tied on with orange cord. Red bow and red and gold with white blossoms in hair. Kimono lined with red then pink cloth has long train trailing onto base and is tied at waist with red sash. Her right foot shows from under the long, tight red skirt. black and gold with multi-coloured circular motifs decorate kimono. Gold and red drum with orange cord and motif of 'tomoe' on each side in green, orange, and dark purple, is tied below waist. Figure stands on wood base and is turned sideways. Her left hand is in the air about to strike the drum with a black, gold-tipped drumstick while her right hand is bent at side and is also about to strike the drum.
Polychrome, carved wood sculpture of a standing dark brown tortoise supporting a green serpent-like dragon curled on its shell which is also surmounted by a standing white-winged, red-brown dragon ? whose front paws hug the snake body at the neck. Tail has multi-pointed plume like both wings, all of which are outlined by red. End of snake is in an upright position at the back. All three creatures face the same direction with open mouths and bulging eyes. Dragon-like figures have tall ornate crowns and fanged teeth. Face at the back of the upper figure's crown has a beak. Creatures' heads move and are held in the neck areas with pins.
Cylindrical shaped fibre and wood Tago ? mask with a conical shaped head and a long face that curves lower then the straight across back. The face is painted white with brown and black detailing. The eyes are open and outlined in a brown fish-like shape. The wooden nose projects out while the mouth is made of two boar tusks adhered facing the opposite direction over top of black painted detailing. The sides have rectangular sections painted with diagonal lines; a circular fibre ring hangs on either side with two kinds of shells and feathers. On top of head is a rounded cap of dark fibre with a lighter fibre bushy top knot. Feathered arrow-like stick sits in the middle of the head.
