Three-dimensional male humanoid figure (part a) with large head (part b) and jointed arms attached to controlling rod (part c). Pink face with slightly curved pointed nose positioned forward with white teeth. Eyes outlined in black, cast forward. Hair, moustache, beards, other facial details on black. Long curved (gelung supit urang) headdress with very long sumping in gold with green dawala, two forward sumping around a flower motif at forehead. Single long black hair curl (kendit). Gold neck and upper torso; gold and red ornaments on each arm at bicep and wrist. Hands held flat and bent back at wrist. Red chest covering and apron with wavy brown trim, green sequins with bead centres. Apron has red waistband, yellow fringe at bottom. Long batik skirt (blue, purple, and beige). 'Sadewa' in blue ink on white lined paper glued to skirt front and headdress (to right).

The body has jointed arms, each with a long controlling rod attached. White face positioned downwards: straight, pointed nose, red lips, white teeth. Eyes, hair, moustache, outlined in black. Wide red crown (mahkota) headdress with large gold diadem and karawista. Green Garuda Mungkur (long tongue) with floral (?) design. Green and grey trim. Neck and upper torso gold; pair of gold and red ornaments on each arm at wrist and bicep. Hands held flat and bent back at wrist. Red chest covering and apron with beads and sequins; apron has red waistband and yellow fringe at bottom. Batik in red and blue on rough beige cloth for skirt.

Mask sepicting a male face with a raised band across the forehead, stylized ears, and eyes with crescent-shaped holes underneath each. Two holes each on both sides of face are threaded with stem (?). Painted black overall with traces of off-white on the lower portion of each eye and in two vertical bands under the nostrils.

Wood bowl in the shape of a seabird, probably a loon, with the neck extended outward and forward and the back hollowed to form a dish. The bird has circular abalone shell inlaid eyes surrounded by a plain tapering oval and a beak covered with red ochre. The body of the bird is painted black with eight oval opercula inset around the rim. On the upper surface of the tail, there is a face design that has small white circular inset bead eyes surrounded by an oval and a tapering oval, a nose, and an open mouth coated with red ochre showing four plain teeth.

Hardwood piece with reddish patina and thick black paint in areas. Upper half consists of large and small human heads placed back to back with one long neck continuing into large u-shaped structure. A twisted and knotted cotton cord passes through a hole in the top of the larger head. Both heads have carved facial features in relief: long slit eyes elongated nose, pointed chin with protruding lips, long crescent-shaped black eyebrows, black cap-like hair. Black paint also in rings around neck and front and back faces of u structure. European thread spool attached by wood rod placed through ends of both stems of u structure at a perpendicular angle.

Hardwood piece that has a worn black-painted surface with two-thirds of which is a woman's long neck and head. The other third is a rounded U-shaped structure. Tripartite coiffure, chin length, blunt cut with incised lines for hair texture. Facial features are carved in relief. Face has semi-circle shaped eyes and a wide nose. The forehead has seven small raised squares that are placed horizontally in groupings of two and three. Flange of neck has extensions and each have a hole for attaching roller at perpendicular angle. Roller is now missing. Horizontal perforation through hair section at back.

Pink face positioned forward; bulging eyes with red irises, large wedge-shaped nose, wide red lips and prominent upper teeth. Fangs extend from top and bottom row at each side of mouth. Long hair, eyebrows, sideburns, moustache and beard painted in black. Crown (mahkota) with diadem (jamang), karawista, ear ornaments (sumping) and Garuda Mungkur; in gold, red, pink, white, black, yellow. Upper torso pink, uncovered; wide shoulders, prominent belly. Red, yellow ornaments on upper arms and at wrists. Left arm detached; hands held flat and bent back at wrist. Long batik skirt (kain) in yellow-brown, red and black.

A three-dimensional male humanoid figure puppet. Has a large head and jointed arms attached to controlling rods. The pink face is positioned forward with white eyes that have red irises. There are prominent white upper teeth, red lips, a beard, and other details in black. Brown material (felt ? synthetic ?) is tacked to the face as a moustache. The red cylindrical cap has gold top diadem (jamang), and sumping. Black hair net. Gold neck. The lower arms are brown (stained?) with the hands held flat and bending back at the wrist. The torso is covered in a beige tight-fitting garment with dark brown trim on cuffs, a yoke collar, and a shoulder overlay with fifteen gold-coloured sequins. String is tied around the headdress and the neck. A dark brown panel is on the front of the torso. Wearing a blue, purple, and yellow batiked skirt.

Flat FanEd1.187

A flat fan made of finely-split bamboo flaring out from its attachment point to a long wood handle painted black. Perimeter of fan is circular except for the lower edge where the handle is attached which is straight and at right angles to the handle. Fan is covered with lacquered paper that has a design of three swirls converging at the centre coloured red-orange, black, and yellow. It has a narrow edging of black paper. The fan is inserted into a split in the handle which is flat and shaped like a pointed oval where it covers the fan, which is attached with two rivets. The shape of the handle is repeated with an outline of orange paint on the fan.
