Helmet MaskAe55

Headdress with eyes set beneath an overhanging brow. Above the brow at the centre is a round, knob-like protrusion with ear-like carvings on either side. Deeply grooved areas representing hair (?), run from the protrusion to the back of the head. The long nose extends down from the brow. The cheeks are bulbous, and the mouth is at the bottom of the headdress with a protruding upper lip and two sets of teeth depicted. The headdress has three holes: one on each side and one at the centre on the reverse with string attached.

Totem pole with figures from top: bear holding a frog; creature with ears and human hands; eagle; raven with two frogs emerging from its mouth, one on either side across raven's wings; chief wearing a hat and with three coppers around his torso, his arms and hands at sides. Raven RattleA2467

Shaped as a raven, holding a red disc in his beak. Handle projects from the tail and is formed of two pieces of wood bound together with plant fibre cord. On the raven's back are carved a reclining otter ? with a kingfisher against his knees and a frog on his stomach, with which he is exchanging tongues. Otter faces toward the handle.

Headdress with red flower at forehead. Double sumping in gold and grey, red trim. Wide lungsen (and suri) in gold with green trim. Keling headdress with reverse hair curl with green at rear. Each arm has red and green ornaments at wrist and bicep; hands held flat and bent back at wrist. Black chest covering and apron with red waist band: decorated with wavy brown trim and green and red sequins. Yellow fringe at apron bottom. Lower torso covered by batik skirt (blue, dark brown on beige)

Discoloured pink face positioned downwards; very straight pointed nose, exposed white teeth. Moustache, hair, facial details and eyes outlined in black. Large headdress with gold diadem dominated by backwards-facing green, grey and red Garuda Mungkur with siyung jawi, red and gold sumping (sekar kluwih). Long black hair in six curls. Gold neck and upper body with slight discolouration; each arm has two gold and red ornaments at bicep and wrist. Hands held flat and bent back at wrist. Badly discoloured red chest covering and apron with brown wavy trim, cross shaped patterns on each in sequins and beads. Apron has discoloured red waist band and yellow fringe at bottom. Large beige batik skirt, with blue and purple.

Long purple chest covering and apron with white wavy trim, wrapped wire and sequin patterns. Apron has black waistband and long yellow fringe at bottom. Long, off-white batik skirt with brown and lavender decorations.

Ornate upswept curl (gelung supit urang) headdress in black, gold, red, and green. Small bird representation at forehead (a form of Garuda Mungkur). Detailed sumping, lungsen. Gold neck and torso; hands held flat and bent back at wrist. No arm ornaments. Purple chest covering and apron with white wavy trim, with sequins and beads and twisted wire decoration. Apron has wide black waistband and long yellow fringe at bottom. Long batik skirt, beige with red, blue, and lavender.

Long black hair falls in three curls. Gold neck and torso; arms have gold and red ornaments at biceps and wrists. Hands held flat and bent back at wrist. Red chest covering and apron with brown wavy trim, sequins and beads. Apron has red waistband and yellow fringe at bottom (both discoloured). Long batik skirt in beige with blue and red.
