Oval-shaped wood piece with the back hollowed out. Human face. Worn white painted surface with red spots showing through. Dyed blue are the long, incised crescent lines for the eyebrows, the inside of the mouth, and one line from the nose to the mouth. Blue spots in other facial areas. Wood of cheek and eye areas has been cut away. Lozenge-shaped eyes, and mouth open to underside. Mouth at rim of cut-away area is asymmetrical to nose. Two articulated wedge-shaped wood pieces nailed, one at each temple. Drilled holes in head and forehead for feathers now missing. Holes, one on each temple has twisted synthetic cord strung between them. Knotted brown shoelace(?) piece in hole on left.

Three-dimensional male humanoid puppet: large head (part b) fits into body with skirt (part a), and a control rod (part c) with a long shaft that passes through the body and fits into the neck of the figure's head. The body has jointed arms, each with a long controlling rod attached. White face positioned downwards: delicate eyes, other facial features outlined in black. Red lips and white teeth. Large curl (gelung supit urang) headdress with diadem and long sumping in black, gold, green, and red. Gold neck and torso; arms have gold and red ornaments at wrist and bicep. Red chest covering and apron, with red trim and green and blue sequins. Apron with yellow frills at bottom, red waistband. Long batik skirt (blue and red on beige). Two pieces of lined paper with handwritten (in pen) inscription 'Abimanyu' glued to headdress and skirt.

The body has jointed arms, each with a long controlling rod attached. Head positioned very slightly downwards; white face with pointed nose, red lips, and exposed white teeth. Somewhat large eyes with black irises. Red crown (mahkota) headdress with gold, pink, yellow diadem; yellow and white Garuda Mungkur. Black (short-tongue). Much black hair beneath crown. Neck, upper torso gold; each arm has a pair of ornaments at wrist and bicep in green and red. Hands held flat and bent back at wrist. Black chest covering and red apron with waistband and yellow fringe sewn with sequins and beads. Blue and brown batik skirt.

Child's Flat FanEd1.183

A small flat, rectangular fan with two lobes at the top. On a frame of very fine bamboo strips radiating out from the centre of the lower edge where the handle is mounted. Both sides are covered with paper and are lacquered green with a painted black design like a paper cut around near the handle are mounting, enclosing an orange painted design shaped like a half-marquise. Straight wood handle is painted red and split to allow insertion of fan.

Wooden, carved bear mask with a long snout painted red and black with white edging and detailing. The muzzle is hinged with a piece of fibre twine on either side. There is twine on the inside of the mask that connects to the jaw allowing it to open and close. The face has blue and black edging and green ovoids around the black eyes on white background. The mask is painted black, blue, green and red.

Carved ape headdress of dark stained wood. The face has protruding eyes, a long nose and large bar-like teeth in a huge grimacing mouth; large ears. The face is contained within a heart shaped line forming the brows and cheeks and converging at the mouth. Horns are represented by two spider-like animals carved on top of the head. The back has a wire hanger placed inside a large scooped out area. Remnants of white paint on two of the teeth. Small cracks on face and brow area.

Helmet MaskAe55

Headdress with eyes set beneath an overhanging brow. Above the brow at the centre is a round, knob-like protrusion with ear-like carvings on either side. Deeply grooved areas representing hair (?), run from the protrusion to the back of the head. The long nose extends down from the brow. The cheeks are bulbous, and the mouth is at the bottom of the headdress with a protruding upper lip and two sets of teeth depicted. The headdress has three holes: one on each side and one at the centre on the reverse with string attached.

Totem pole with figures from top: bear holding a frog; creature with ears and human hands; eagle; raven with two frogs emerging from its mouth, one on either side across raven's wings; chief wearing a hat and with three coppers around his torso, his arms and hands at sides.
