Needle Case946/21 a-h

Wooden needle case that is wider at one end and narrow at another. In between is a globular shape and a series of linear grooves around the case (part a). Narrow wooden end inserts into case is a long hollow tube (part b). Part c is a needle (4.5cm), part d is a needle (4.5cm), part e is a needle (4.5cm), part f is a needle (4.5cm), part g is a needle (3.2cm), and part his a broken needle (half).

Small, rectangular coiled cedar root basket (part a) with a fitted lid (part b). Parallel slat base for the wall and lid construction. Decorated with beading and imbrication. Beading in red cherry bark on the lid (part b), in two columns, and along the top and the bottom edges of the basket (part a). Two vertical design panels on each of the long sides and one on each end of the basket (part a). These panels are imbricated in canary grass and red cherry bark with the canary grass forming the background and the bark creating large X-shaped designs. The panels are also outlined in red cherry bark also.
