Wooden stool, smooth, carved in one piece. Circular, slanted seat; solid tubular edge; supported by four standing human figures with the seat resting on their heads. All with three bracelets incised on their right forearms, supporting jars with their left hands. Jars are joined to bodies and fingers. The other two figures hold in their right hands narrow bag-like objects with long necks curved around sideways. Left hands are pressed to left abdomens. Knees are slightly bent with feet very roughly carved or missing. A spotted standing animal with joined front paws supports underneath the centre of the seat with its back. At the edge a wooden column supports the seat from the hind end and a broken tail hangs down. Solid circular wooden base.

Circular rattle formed of two bent concentric circles of wood holding four compartments containing the sound-making pebbles; a wooden rod is inset across the centre. Plain on one side and painted with red criss-crosses on the other, and with red and blue stripes around the outer ring.

Child's Flat FanEd1.182

A small flat inverted u-shaped fan on a frame of very fine split bamboo radiating from the handle at the centre of the flat edge. Both sides are covered with paper, and are lacquered in red, green, black, and yellow with a red panel at the top, and a triple swirl pattern in yellow, red, and green at the centre. There is a black design resembling a paper cut near the handle area. Handle is straight, painted red, and split where the fan is inserted.

Flat FanEd1.181

A flat fan made of finely-split bamboo flaring out from its attachment point to a long wood handle painted black. Perimeter of fan is circular except for the lower edge where the handle is attached which is straight and at right angles to the handle. Fan is covered with lacquered paper that has a design of three swirls converging at the centre coloured red, green, and yellow. It has a narrow edging of black paper. The fan is inserted into a split in the handle which is flat and lozenge-shaped where it covers the fan which is attached with two rivets. The shape of the handle is repeated with an outline of orange paint on the fan.

Shaped as a woman; holes for bowl and stem identify it as a pipe. She is seated with knees drawn up, hands bound behind her back, and long hair fastened to her hands, pulling her head back. Ribs, trachea, and collarbone are clearly delineated. An otter is carved on her stomach.
